Adrian is one of the two plant-themed monsters of the Machine Empire under King Mondo and a minor antagonist in Power Rangers Zeo, serving as the secondary antagonist of the episode "A Few Bad Seeds."
He is voiced by the late Brian Tahash who previously voiced the See Monster and was the second voice of both Lanterra and the Brick Bully in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.
Biography[]
Unlike most monsters of the Machine Empire, Adrian and his "cousin" the Pollenator are not preexisting monsters. Instead, Adrian is derived from a plant created when Skull snips off some of Rocky's dangerous plant and stuffs it in a plant pot. Seeing that both plants have ravenous appetites, King Mondo decides to turn the plant into monsters to eat the Earth and has Prince Sprocket and some Cogs steal them despite Rocky and Adam intervening with a Cog escaping into a portal after Rocky took down the original holder. He then has the plants being fed all kinds of food and metals until turn into anthropomorphic monsters with Adrian being Skull's budding plant. The monsters share the same hunger as when they were normal plants but Mondo has to beat them into submission due to the "cousins" being lazy and just wanting food before forcing them to attack the Earth.
Adrian and the Pollenator attack the Angel Grove Auto Wrecking Yard to eat metal and become stronger where the Zeo Rangers confront them and neither monster is happy about it as they consider interruptions during a meal rude. Together, they overwhelm the Zeo Rangers and wipe them out with a devastating vault attack but manage to fail with a second attack after Adrian trips and King Mondo is forced to withdraw the fighting "cousins." Upon confronting them, the Pollenator just wants food so he threatens Adrian's life unless he obeys. Although the Pollenator defends his "cousin" from the Cogs, both are blasted down and he is forced to return to Earth and continue the plan to save Adrian's life. What happened to Adrian after this is unknown as he was never seen again but it is likely that Mondo followed through on his promise to destroy Adrian due to the Pollenator's failure. If he escaped or was released, Zordon's Energy Wave is likely to have vaporised him since there was nothing redeemable about him.
After Sprocket complains about Punch-A-Bunch damaging himself during battle against the Zeo Rangers, Adrian is indirectly referenced along with all previous monsters used up to that point when Queen Machina reassures her distraught son that the Rangers have ruined all of their monsters.

Adrian was very violent and viscious with no true loyalty to anyone other than the Pollenator; only being loyal to King Mondo because he offered food. However, he was not very smart as and spoke little.

- Strength: Adrian easily punched away Tanya and Tommy with single punches and could bend down and have the Pollenator vault from his back but stay upright.
- Durability: Due to thick plant-like material across his body, Bara Cactus 2 was unfazed by a jump kick and multiple karate chops from Rocky. Even being blasted by King Mondo's lightning only knocked him down for a moment.
- Skilled Fighter: Adrian was able to overwhelm Tommy with his bare hands.
- Agility: Adrian dodged a kick from Tanya by swerving his body to the side.
- Metal Eating: The Pollenator could eat metal like humans eat food which could be anything from Bulk's police badge to cars in a junkyard.
- Power Enhancement: The Pollenator would never stop gaining power as long as he kept eating.
Weaknesses[]
- Eating Necessity: Adrian needed to keep continually eating or his power would slowly decrease and he would become weaker over time.
- Clumsiness: Adrian tripped whilst trying to vault on the Pollenator which led to an argument and thier withdrawal.
Arsenal[]
- Fists: Although he had no weapons of his own, Adrian was able to easily decimate his enemies with his bare hands.
- Energy Reflection: By joining hands, the Pollenator and Adrian could form a blue energy shield to reflect the Zeo Rangers' Zeo Laser Pistol lasers right back at them.

Trivia[]
- Given how the Pollenator sounded like Sylvester Stallone, Adrian was clearly named for Adrian Pennino in the Rocky Franchise. Unlike the Zeo version, that Adrian was a woman and a heroic character.
- Despite that, Adrian's voice was clearly an allusion to Arnold Schwarznegger.
- In Ohranger, Adrian was killed and dissected by King Mondo's counterpart both as punishment for feeling human emotion and to better understand why Machine Beasts can feel that way. For obvious reasons, this was removed from the Power Rangers version.
- This was why there was no scene of Mondo to end the episode and why the Pollenator and Adrian did not appear in American made footage. In the Sentai episode, Adrian's suit was ripped and strung up for dramatic effect.
