Adrian Garff is the secondary antagonist of the 2017 TV series adaptation of Stephen King's The Mist.
He was portrayed by Russell Posner in his first villainous role.
History[]
Adrian lives in Bridgeville, Maine with his family to which is extremely strained due to his father abusing him for being gay and the way he wears make up. He is bullied at school because of his background and has a friendship with Alex Copeland who he sees like a sister (mostly a lover) and adores her family. When the mist came, he is seperated from his family and joins Kevin and his group as they attempt to find Alex and Eve.
As Adrian continues to travel with Kevin, Adrian attempts to keep earning the groups trust by continuing with his lie that Jay raped Alex to get closer to the others and make himself appear innocent. Later, Adrian arrives at his house where he finds out that his father is still alive while his mother ran out into the mist and died. Adrian and his dad argue over his mother and that Duncan states that Adrian is a monster and that no one can love the real him. Adrian retorts that Alex loves him but Duncan claims only until "someone comes around to f*ck her" and Adrian shoots his dad with the shotgun stating that he did and had too as he believes that Alex belongs to only him and didn't want Jay "taking her away from him".
Kevin comes in the house and Adrian tells him that his dad attacked him, and he killed him in self-defense. Kevin brings Adrian to the bathroom where he tries to find medicine or anything else to patch him up, but he finds the drugs that were found in Alex the night she was raped, and Adrian confesses he raped Alex because he believed that Alex was the only one who cared about him. Kevin enraged, slams Adrian to the wall and demands why he did it, but Adiran gets out of his grasp and grabs the shotgun and Kevin attempts to knock it away but gets knocked out and Adrian leaves him for dead. Adrian gets to the car and tells Mia and Jonah that his dad murdered Kevin.
