Adrian Harris, more commonly called Mr. Harris, is a supporting antagonist in the first three seasons of the MTV show Teen Wolf. He's the teacher at Beacon Hills High School known for being strict and willfully abusive towards his class. He is also involved in supernatural crimes in the city and is still the first suspect after an incident. He died of strangulation in Season 3 by the Darach after it is revealed that he helped her target her victims for her human sacrifices.
However, he had actually survived Jennifer's attempts against his life and returned in the 2023 reunion film, Teen Wolf: The Movie, where he frees the Nogitsune from his prison so they could seek vengeance against Scott and his loved ones. However, he is overpowered by his former students Jackson Whittemore and Lydia Martin and imprisoned in Eichen House for his crimes against the McCall Pack members.
He was played by Adam Fristoe who also played Dean in AMC's The Walking Dead.
Personality[]
Harris is a strict, pragmatic teacher who hates lazy students and those disinterested in his lessons. He does not hesitate to punish them, in particular Stiles whom he seems to hate personally and to whom he makes several sardonic and humiliating remarks. He also puts him in detention enormously and in an unfair and sadistic way while abusing his teaching power. Along with his teaching, he takes an even darker depth with his involvement in various supernatural events in Beacon Hills. He is also implied by cowardice and selfishness because he does not want to ruin his life if someone learns his secrets about the supernatural. However, that tactic will eventually backfire when he is assassinated by the Darach in Season 3.
Biography[]
TV Show[]
While in class, Mr. Harris separates Scott and Stiles who were discussing the incident with a bus driver. In another episode, Harris is seen in his classroom at night and he receives a visit from the Alpha and begins to panic. The werewolf yells at him to turn around to look at him and throws the tables against the board. Harris is then saved by Derek Hale while the Alpha leaves the classroom. He is then questioned by Sheriff Stilinski and explains that he helped Kate Argent be able to start an arson attack and erase all evidence of her passage. Although he doesn't know her name, he makes the sheriff a drawing of a collar she was wearing so he can identify her. Following the interrogation, Harris lets off steam directly to Stiles, the sheriff's son by verbally abusing him and giving him detention.
In season 2, murders are committed by a reptillian creature called the Kanima. Scott and his friends research it and learn that it is controlled by a Master and directly suspect Mr. Harris. In addition, the teacher's car was at the scene of one of the murders although it was moved by the real culprit. In progress, Harris continues his unfair punishments to Stiles. He punishes Scott, Allison, Erica, Jackson, Stiles and Matt for tidying up the library. During a rave, Matt and Allison cross paths with Mr. Harris who was dancing with a girl and claims that she is of legal age.
In season 3, Harris only appears in one episode. While in class, he surprises one of the Steiner twins seriously injured and wrongly punished Isaac. As the Darach strikes in Beacon Hills, Lydia and the others find that he is targeting his victims based on category. With his military background, Harris would be the next victim. One evening, he corrects copies whose marks form the word "Darach". He is then kidnapped and tied to a tree and he begs to be spared and that he can still help. Despite this, he is strangled to death by the Darach. It is only later that his involvement in the crimes with the Darach is revealed.
