Adrian Tivoli, born Vesant, was a Tectonese female in the Alien Nation television movie Body and Soul. She was portrayed by the late Pamela Gordon.
A Kleezantsun, Tivoli worked in the special section of the slave ship Gruza under the command of Chorboke. One of his best surgeons, Tivoli worked to help achieve Chorboke's goal of producing the perfect Newcomer - a being of pure mental energy. As part of her work she conducted horrifc experiments on the Tectonese slaves. One of her experiments resulted in a single being consisting of a male giant and a female who appeared to be a young child.
After the Gruza crash landed on Earth in 1991, Chorboke ordered Tivoli to destroy her work lest the US government found it and used the evidence to convict them of war crimes. Chorboke killed the CIA agent Roger Benson and then had Tivoli surgically alter him so he could pass as the human Benson.
Following her release from quarantine with the human name Adrian Tivoli, she was determined to perform penance for her crimes. Hiding her past crimes from the humans and fellow Newcomers, she began using her medical knowledge to benefit humanity. Tivoli discovered the genetic cure for diabetes, which resulted in her winning the Noble Prize in 1997.
When the giant and child reappeared Chorboke had her killed, fearing that examinations would lead to his operation beging exposed to the public and revealing that Chorboke did not die in the crash of the Gruza as the Newcomers believed. Following her death Tivoli's daughter Karina explained to detectives George Fransisco and Matthew Sikes that her mother was actually the hated Vesant, and that they might want to investigate a CIA agent named Roger Benson. Using that information Sikes and Fransisco were able to infiltrate Chorboke's operation, rescue the giant and child, and destroy the Kleezantsun weapons before Chorboke could sell them to various humans.
