The African Rat is one of the playable characters in the video game, Tasty Planet Forever, serving as the main protagonist of the Africa region. It also has an alternate skin, known as the Baby Elephant.
Biography[]
Background[]
In Africa, elephant migration routes are littered with landmines and clearing them is a very slow and dangerous task. So, they trained mine-sniffing rats to make this job faster. However, the white small rat is the special and has a voracious appetite, so it comes and starts to eat everything.
Hungry Hungry Rat[]
The rat eats plant matters, termites, dung balls and beetles, gerbils, tarantulas, grass tufts, land mines, binoculars and pangolins.
The Elephant of Surprise[]
The rat has to clear sevety land mines before elephants step on them.
Stop. Tortoise Time.[]
The rat eats scorpions, grass tufts and leopard tortoises.
Don't Be a Cheetah[]
The rat eats leopard tortoises, cheetahs and ostriches.

The rat eats elephant shrews, bat-eared foxes and termite mounds.

The rat eats poachers (their first human victims), lionesses, lions and tents.
The Rat Down in Africa[]
The rat eats pangolings, grass tufts, poachers, warthogs, bushes, zebras, lions, giraffes, elephants (it's also the baby elephant's first cannibalistic action if it is chosen), fences, safari trucks, acacia trees and prop airplanes.

The rat has to clear thirty-six land mines.
Drink Up[]
The rat eats animals drinking from a water hole; leopard tortoises, warthogs, cheetahs, lionesses, lions, ostriches, zebras, giraffes, rhinoceroses and elephants.
Revenge of the Elephants[]
While elephants are destroying the safari trucks, the rat eats zebras and when it grows enough, it eats elephants and safari trucks.
Ready For Take Off[]
The rat eats safari trucks and prop airplanes.

This level shows the rat's overall adventure. It eats the victims from previous levels, and pools and thatched resorts.
