~ Aftershock threatening Moon Girl.
Ms. Allison Dillon, known as her supervillain alter-ego Aftershock, is a minor antagonist in the 2023 animated series, Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur. She's a young woman with electrical powers who moved to New York City's Lower East Side to recharge herself more regularly, She is a power-hungry electric-powered woman who planned to absorb all the electricity from New York City's Lower East Side. As the first villain Lunella Lafayette and Devil Dinosaur faced together.
Aftershock is a tall, slender woman with a noticeable curvaceous build. As a supervillain, her whole body is entirely made out of cyan-blue electricity, with pupil-less eyes and purple lips.
As a civilian, her normal appearance is that of a fair-skinned woman with blonde hair (dyed) styled in a bob cut with paler-colored highlights, black eyes, arched eyebrows, and wears pale purple lipstick for makeup.
Her supervillain costume dons a black-purple color scheme, which consists of a cropped, mid-quarter-sleeved black leather jacket with purple accents and two purple buttons on each side, a high-collared black bodysuit with lighter-purple streaks worn underneath, a purple utility belt and knee-pads, and black knee-high boots with light purple cuffs, and purple soles and toes.
Her civilian attire sported the same black-purple color scheme as her supervillain clothing, which consists of a black sweater with dark purple accents, black rubber gloves, grayish-purple dress pants with paler trim around the waistline, and black dress shoes.
Backstory[]
Aftershock has been draining electricity around the Lower East Side, which resulted in her causing a blackout. That night, after capturing the criminals, Lunella, Devil and Casey first met Aftershock when she's draining electricity on another building. However, Lunella can't come up with a superheroine name of her own which Aftershock taunts her and leaves to continue her work.
The next day, Moon Girl and Devil is able to track down Aftershock at an unknown location and found her draining electricity. Though Moon Girl traps her in a bubble, Aftershock managed to burst out of it and attacks her. After capturing Moon Girl, she unmasked her helmet and discovered that Lunella is just a child. She is about to do something bad to the Moon Girl, but Devil tries to save her and Aftershock ended up zapping him with her electricity before she escapes.
The next morning, Ms. Dillon gets a job as a teacher at Intermediate School 833 and met Lunella at the science class. She later began to threatens her to hurt her family and friends if she ever tried to stop her again, which led Lunella goes on depression and stops being a Moon Girl briefly. After regain back her confidence, courtesy of Miriam, Lunella devise a plan to stop Aftershock. That night, Aftershock is seen absorbing electricity again until Moon Girl shows up and exposed her in front of the LES citizens. When Aftershock is prepare to hurt Moon Girl again, Devil shows up and stops her. Moon Girl and Devil are luring Aftershock away and tricked her into getting absorbed by an electrical rod, returning the electricity around the LES back to normal.

Trivia[]
In the comics, Alisson Dillon is the daughter of Electro, originating from the MC2 continuity. Having inherited her father's powers, the two were unable to touch each other safely. This, combined with the death of her mother, led Dillon to be taken to several foster homes. She eventually turned to a life of crime under the name Aftershock and fought Spider-Man's own daughter, Spider-Girl, until her father convinced to drop her criminal ways by promising to become a better father.
During an interview, executive producer Steve Loter called her "the daughter of Electro", suggesting she retains her MC2 counterpart's relationship to the villain. This is supported in "Moon Girl Landing", where she is shown to have the surname "Dillon", which is also Electro's last name (his real name being Max Dillon).
Her visual design references her comic counterpart's relationship to Electro, as it is similar to his portrayals in The Spectacular Spider-Man and The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
Her Moon Girl portrayal will mark her first appearance outside of comics.
According to Lunella, her blonde hair is not real.
Aftershock serves as a dark reflection to these following characters.
Moon Girl: Both have special skills (Lunella being smart and Ms. Dillon having electrical powers) they use to their fullest potential. They're both very smart as well. However, Lunella uses her smarts to help others, even villains, whereas Aftershock uses her powers to harm others and for her own benefit. Aftershock represents what Moon Girl would've become had the latter not used her abilities for good.
Coach Hrbek: While both are science teachers, Hrbek is less adept while Aftershock is implied to be a professional at teaching. Hrbek has a robust build whereas the latter is slim. Although Hrbek is not good at teaching science and while he and Aftershock show no interest in doing so, he genuinely cares about his students and is very nice to them while Aftershock is an obnoxious jerk to Lunella and presumably other kids. Aftershock represents what Hrbek would've become if the latter never chose to be compassionate, no matter how incompetent he is at teaching.
The Beyonder: Both are considered to be some of Moon Girl's toughest opponents. While Aftershock threatens the LES to keep herself energized and out of pure spite, the Beyonder only threatens it just to learn about humans and even completely repairs it. The Beyonder eventually reforms and befriends Moon Girl after learning the error of his ways whereas Aftershock remains evil and still harbor her hatred for Moon Girl. Therefore, Aftershock reflects what The Beyonder would've become had the latter never reformed and really enjoyed wreaking havoc on others.
Molecule Man: Molecule Man is associated with molecules while Aftershock is associated with electricity. Molecule Man's presence creates a dark green atmosphere while Aftershock creates a light blue ambience. Molecule Man was respected by his planet's inhabitants before the destruction of said planet, while Aftershock was hated by the entire LES. Molecule Man has so freudian excuse for why he became so hateful and eventually redeems himself, Aftershcok, on the other hand, doesn't. Molecule Man is an alien, while Aftershock is an enhanced human. Molecule Man is dark but multicolored while Aftershock's colors are only light blue, lilac, and black. Molecule Man's grudge with Moon Girl is only caused by her the latter's relationship with The Beyonder while Aftershock's relationship with Moon Girl is due to the latter trying to stop her and is one of pure hatred. Molecule Man drove Moon Girl to her one of her lowest points for about only a minute while Aftershock kept Moon Girl at her another one of her lowest points for a longer time. Due to Molecule Man redeeming himself and Aftershock not, Aftershock is an example of what Molecule Man would've become if he let his thirst for vengeance really consume him and didn't recognize he could've fixed his planet.
Dr. Ojo: Both were meant to replace Coach Hrbek as the LES's new science teacher. While she sees Lunella's potential as a Wakandan scientist due to her intelligence, it isn't confirmed if she knows Lunella's secret as Moon Girl. Aftershock however, learns Lunella's secret identity as Moon Girl. Lunella admires Ojo for being a Wakandan scientist, only to resent the latter for her harsh teachings, but eventually regains her liking for her once Ojo admits the error of her ways. In Ms. Dillon's case, she and Luenlla develop pure hatred for one another due to their opposing goals (with Lunella wanting to protect the LES while Ms. Dillon wants to destroy it). Ojo is only harsh to Lunella because she wants to improve the latter whereas Dillon outright hates Lunella due to the latter standing in her way. If Ojo hadn't learned that her harsh teaching methods were more harmful than good, she would've become as abusive as Aftershock/Ms. Dillon was.
