| ~ Dio Brando |
The Agents of DIO (ディオの部下 DIO no Buka), later known as the Agents of Pucci, are the main antagonists of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure franchise.
They are a group of people devoted to Dio Brando's cause, serving him for various reasons such as his sheer charisma, his desires of dominating the world, or due to brainwashing from having his cells implanted into their head.
Biography[]
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Phantom Blood[]
The first loyal subordinate of Dio is Wang Chan, who becomes his first right-hand man after providing Dio with poison to slowly kill his father Dario Brando and attempt to do the same to George Joestar I. With his newfound vampiric powers, Dio also creates an army of minions such as Jack the Ripper, Bruford and Tarkus, and various other zombies.
By the end most of his followers had been defeated, though Wang Chan survives long enough to bring Dio to the ship where Jonathan's honeymoon is taking place, where Dio turns all of the people there into Zombies as well. Wang Chan is killed when the ship sinks, leaving Dio trapped inside his coffin with Jonathan's body.
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Battle Tendency[]
Although Dio seemingly died, there were still some minions of Dio that survived, such as the Zombie that became a officer in the Royal Air Force, this zombie was responsible for the murder of George Joestar II. He was later killed by Lisa Lisa as revenge.
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders[]
Nearly 100 years later, Dio resurfaces after his casket was recovered from the ocean. He would travel around the world, meeting various people that would become his henchmen, such as Enya Geil, whom he made his second-in-command after she used an arrow on him that gave him Stand abilities. He also befriended Enrico Pucci in secret, who became his most trusted friend. He was given a bone from DIO's own body as a sign of friendship.
During the Joestar's journey, DIO’s minions are defeated one by one as they attempt to kill the Joestars. With almost all of the members of his organization defeated, DIO himself fought the Joestar Group, but was later defeated by Jotaro after a long fight, which also resulted in Kakyoin being killed and Joseph nearly being killed. Though most of the members of the organization were defeated, some managed to survive as they did not fight the Joestar Group, though some of them were still fanatically loyal to DIO and sought to avenge him.
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable[]
Though the organization was defeated, it is mentioned quite a few times in the fourth part. Enya the Hag is mentioned quite regularly as a driving influence throughout the arc, and two of DIO’s former minions, Yoshihiro Kira and Mansaku Nijimura, had a major influence in the part.
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean[]
The last members of DIO's organization remaining were Enrico Pucci and Johngalli A., who sought to avenge DIO by defeating the Joestar Group, while the former attempted to execute his plan to achieve Heaven. To aid him in that goal, Pucci uses the inmates and prison staff of Green Dolphin Street, and after leaving the prison even recruits DIO's sons (except Giorno Giovanna).
