My Roanoke Nightmare
Agnes Mary Winstead portrays Tomasyn White throughout the reenactment scenes of the series My Roanoke Nightmare, created by the network executive Sidney Aaron James. Winstead's performance is lauded and her role is expanded from three to five episodes. However, due to the depth and intensity of the performance, Winstead becomes mentally unwell. She stays into character long after the end of the production and attacks pedestrians along Hollywood Boulevard. Likewise, she attempts to break into the home of actress Audrey Tindall, who portrayed the survivor Shelby Miller in the show.
Return to Roanoke: Three Days in Hell
Winstead undergoes months of treatment and appears to have recovered from her recent troubled history. Sidney, looking to stir up as much drama as possible for his follow-up series, interviews Winstead at her home, where he abruptly antagonizes her and serves her a restraining order, barring her from returning to the follow-up series. Winstead immediately becomes unhinged and assumes the persona of Tomasyn White.
On the first night, when only actors Audrey and Rory Monahan have arrived, Winstead breaks a window. She arrives at the production office and murders Sidney and the entire crew. The next day, she confronts Shelby in her room, where she hacks into her back, seriously wounding her. Actor Dominic Banks intervenes and knocks Winstead out briefly, though she slips away while he tends to Shelby's injury.
In the cellar, Winstead switches between her own personality and that of White, as she ponders her crimes. She attacks Audrey, Lee Harris and Monet Tumusiime in the woods, but is shot in the shoulder by Lee. After removing the bullet and cauterizing the wound, Winstead hollers at Shelby and Dominic from outside the mansion. Just then, the Roanoke colony appears and Winstead finds herself face-to-face with the real Tomasyn White. Terrified, Winstead pleads for her life, only to be cleaved in the face by White.
