The Agnese Forces (アニェーゼ部隊 Anyēze Butai) is a paramilitary organization led by Agnese Sanctis and is the main antagonist faction of the Orsola Aquinas Rescue Arc of A Certain Magical Index. It's an organization comprised of powerful magicians and battle nuns who serve on behalf of the Roman Orthodox Church by eliminating all of their enemies. Following the events of September 8th and the Adriatic Sea Battle, Agnese Forces eventually reforms and joins Necessarius of the English Puritan Church as representatives of the Roman Catholic Faith in England. After World War III had ended, they once again returned to the authority of the Roman Orthodox Church.
Overview
Agnese Forces was created sometime in the past and is made up of 250 Battle Nuns and magicians who all serve under the command of Agnese Sanctis. It's members are most likely kids from the orphanage that the Catholic Church ran back then and Agnese was appointed as the unit's leader most likely for her leadership abilities despite her young age. Agnese Forces first appears where Orsola Aquinas is kidnapped by the Amakusa Style-Remix of Church and she is rescued however, it was a setup as eventually, Orsola is taken to a church under construction and is being forced through the Trial of Sin until Touma Kamijou bursts in with Necessarius and the Amakuse and fights them. Eventually, the remnants of the unit are forced under the command of Biagio Busoni as punishment and are eventually saved by Touma once more and join up with Necessarius as Catholic Representatives to the Protestant nation of England. After World War III had ended, they return to the Roman Orthodox Church once more.
