Aguma are the soldiers of the Akuma Clan and recurring antagonists in Akumaizer 3.
They are black-suited soldiers with red eyes and brown military coats that are capable of speech. They typically wield rapier-like Jankel swords or two-pronged spears, but also occasionally employ heavy artillery such as mortars or missile launchers. They are commonly seen serving under the Demon Captains of the Akuma Clan.
History[]
The Aguma first appear when they capture several humans from the surface and brought them to Downworld to lead them to Mezalord. However, Xavitan tricked Evil into bringing him to Downworld so he and Gabra could free the humans the Akuma Clan had captured, doing battle against the Aguma in the process. After having his life saved by Xavitan, Evil joined him in fighting against the Aguma as well, enabling the human hostages to escape back to Earth.
Later, the Aguma assisted Iron Mask in his campaign to eliminate all the humans who had been brought to Downworld in order to prevent the Akuma Clan's secrets from being exposed. When the Akumaizer 3 intervened, Iron Mask kidnapped Xavitan's human friend Jun and brought her to Downworld with the assistance of several Aguma to lure Xavitan into a trap. After the Akumaizer 3 freed Jun, they had to fight through several more Aguma in order to return to Japan.
Aguma would be deployed next by Oni brothers Akanida and Aonida in their plan to convert schoolchildren into soldiers for the Akuma Clan. During Akanida's initial attack, several Aguma were dispensed from black balls dropped by Akanida's Akuma Tank to participate in the attack. The Akumaizer 3 soon arrived and did battle against Akanida and his Aguma Soldiers.
Mezalord would later gain a pair of specialized Aguma who wore light blue cloaks and acted as his elite bodyguards.
