Aimless is a minor antagonist in Generation One of the Transformers franchise. He was voiced by the late Milt Jamin, who also voiced Blast Off and Grax, as well as Moneybags in Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage.

Appearing in the closing miniseries "The Rebirth", Aimless was a member of the Hive, the totalitarian rulers of Nebulos. When a group of Autobots arrived on the planet and allied with the Nebulan rebels, bonding with a number of them to become Headmasters, Hive leader Lord Zarak contacted the Decepticons led by Cyclonus who had also come to the planet, suggesting a similar alliance. Cyclonus modified the arrangement, suggesting some of the Hive become the Decepticons' weapons. Aimless underwent this Targetmaster process, being partnered with Misfire. He declared "I live to destroy our mutual enemies!" before transforming into his gun mode and firing wildly. Misfire noted the name Aimless suited him better.
During their first encounter with the Autobots, Misfire complained about Aimless' inability to hit anything, prompting Aimless to protest that he was new at it. They gained the Key to the Plasma Energy Chamber from the Autobots and fought off an attempt to retrieve it led by Optimus Prime himself, journeying to Cybertron aboard Scorponok, a large battle station constructed by Zarak, to aid Decepticon leader Galvatron in taking over the planet. The attempt failed and the release of energy sent Aimless and the others aboard Scorponok hurtling off into space.

Aimless had a small role in the Headmasters miniseries as one of a number of Nebulan volunteers that Vorath had undergone the Targetmaster process, which the Nebulans allied with Scorponok's Decepticons had decided to duplicate after seeing the Autobots using it in their last battle. Aimless first saw action when the Targetmasters joined Zarak and Scorponok in battling the Autobot Headmasters as they escaped from captivity. Shortly after, both groups left Nebulos bound for Earth. Aimless was not clearly seen again but if he continued to partner Misfire, he may have been among the casualties of Unicron's attack on Cybertron, since Misfire was seen being caught in an explosion.
