Miki Akasaka better known as Akai is an antagonist in Yozakura Family. She is one of the leaders of Tanpopo and a member of the Nijibana Rainbow Flowers who is the first of the Nijibana's in Hazakura efficiency being at 512%. She is an antagonist in the Yozakura Frontlines Arc.
Personality[]
When speaking with Kawashita, Akai is perceived as being extremely chilly and confrontational, insulting and threatening her. Even though she is aggressive, she never loses her temper or takes a chance. Akai's harsh demeanor stems from her frustration and rage at her family's arson attack.

Past[]
When Akai was seventeen years old, an arsonist set fire to her family's home while they were all inside. After entering the home with Kurosawa, Kawashita used the deceased siblings' body parts to graft onto her own, saving her life and giving her the Cherry Blossom Leaf Hazakura. Her body was altered to produce fire by the memories of the arson and the Hazakura. She teamed up with Kawashita in order to track down and murder the arsonist, and she remains with Kawashita following her retaliation.
Yozakura Frontlines Arc[]
To meet with Kawashita, Akai traveled to Skeleton Island with Aonuma, Kurosawa, and Cha-Cha. Each of them came with a big basket full of veggies. She insults Kawashita's appearance and behavior when she first meets him, saying later that his voice is worse than his face and threatening to murder him. They are then served a steaming pot of vegetables as a reward before getting ready for their mission.
While Akai was uninterested, the other Nijibana were celebrating the day of the Seed-Sowing Project. She was the first to welcome the Yozakura Family outside when they arrived to invade the island. As they were flying toward the island, she used "Hand of the Fire God" to attack them, but Futaba was able to thwart the attack by burning her beneath the debris. From beneath the debris, Akai blasts flames, preparing to seize Futaba. She tries to strike Futaba by engulfing her leg in flames, but Futaba is able to block it.
Since Akai is unable to hurt Futaba in this standoff, she resolves to murder her and raises her heat to awaken her Blooming. She applies the "Blade of Ash" to Futaba's arm, but as it burns to ash, she takes off her glove. She keeps attacking, encircling Futaba with her rays of fire from "Burning Sea," which she deflects. But Akai keeps attacking, and a pillar of flame bursts forth. Rather than only utilizing attacks to kill Futaba, Akai intends to increase her heat and burn her. Futaba chooses to embrace her blossoming out of consideration for Akai's feelings.
