Akamimi is the secondary antagonist in Toei Animation's 1963 film Doggie March. He is a sly fox who acts as a henchmen to Killer the Tiger. He was voiced by Yoshihisa Kamo.
Biography[]
Akamimi is Killer's loyal henchmen, and it is he that informs the tiger about Shiro foiling their hunts. Killer plans to kill the dog, and he is able to do that after Akamimi is able to lure her to him. However, Shiro's puppy, Rock, is still alive, and challenges Killer. Akamimi tries to kill the puppy, but Rock is rescued and the fox is humiliated after a painful encounter with a swarm of bees.
Later, Killer hears about Rock gathering dogs from the alley, and sends Akamimi to get rid of him. Akamimi is successful, although his attempt to trick a tanuki into helping him doesn't go too well. Rock does end up floating out to sea, but he is rescued by a little girl. Killer and Akamimi assume he is dead, as neither villain saw his rescue.
Later, hunters arrive at the forest, capturing everyone, including Akamimi and his boss. The animals are sent to the zoo. Akamimi likes it, since the other ferocious beasts act as servants to him and Killer. Killer himself is not as satisfied, and sends the fox out to bring him dead animals. Akamimi finds a way through the sewer into the other habitats, and starts picking off the small animals one by one.
Eventually, Rock returns, and leads an army of dogs to challenge Killer. Akamimi sees this, and alerts the tiger, before sending out the ferocious zoo animals to attack the dogs. The beasts are quickly slain, and Akamimi starts to become more nervous. Once their elephant minion falls, Akamimi tells Killer to retreat, and the two villainous animals flee. The dogs pursue them, and the predators make their way up a roller coaster. Rock follows them up, so Akamimi takes control of the coaster train, giving Killer an unfair advantage in the fight that follows. One of Rock's friends (a dog named Goro) enters the area, and after a brief fight, Akamimi is tossed into some electric wires, electrocuted and killed.
