Akashic is the "Great Leader" of Secret Society Agastia who appears in the manga Miss Kuroitsu from the Monster Development Department and its anime adaptation. She looks and acts a little girl, but is in fact the most powerful member of the organization.

She is voiced by M·A·O, who also voiced Julieta Juris

Biography

Akashic was present when Touka Kuroitsu presented the Monster Development Department's last minute proposal for a kaijin that resembled an old man in a rubber Loch Ness Monster suit. While Touka loved the proposal because of how "cute" it looked, her chief of staff Megistus voiced his objection and shot down the proposal.

Akashic would later check up on Kuroitsu and Dr. Sadamaki as they were working on their newest kaijin Wolf Bete. Feeling Wolf Bete wasn't cute enough, Akashic ordered them to change Wolf Bete to a female kaijin, forcing the two to work overtime to design a new body and finish it. As they didn't have enough time to modify the brain into a female's, upon completion Wolf Bete was left with a male brain in a female body.

As the Monster Development Department was coordinating with the other departments in Agastia to design the cybernetic Cannon Thunderbird, Akashic checked up on the project and told them to make it more cute, resulting in its finished design resembling a large orange chick wearing a scouter.

Personality

Befitting her child-like appearance, Akashic has a very cheerful and easily distracted personality. While she is the head of an evil organization, she enjoys looking at cute things and insists that all of Agastia's monsters be cute, regardless of how that affects their utility. Because of this, she often makes decisions on her own about Agastia's policy without counseling her executives. At the same time, she is a skilled manager able to coordinate between the different branches of Agastia.

Trivia

• She is a parody of the Great Leader of Shocker from the Kamen Rider franchise, though her design more resembles his second-in-command Colonel Zol.
• Ironically, while she is a parody of Tokusatsu villains, she is voiced by Mao Ichimichi, who rose to fame by playing Luka Millfy, one of the main heroes of the Tokusatsu series Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger.
