Akecheta is a supporting character and antagonist in the HBO series Westworld. He was a first-generation host created by the Argos Initiative. Although Akecheta is a neutral character, he has committed several murders while being controlled by Delos as part of his narrative.
He was portrayed by Zahn McClarnon.
History[]
In his original narrative, Akecheta was the leader of the Ghost Nation, a group of hosts representing a stereotypical hostile Native American tribe. He killed Maeve Millay and her daughter several times in her original narrative. He was one of the first hosts (if not the first) to achieve consciousness. However, Akecheta wasn't programmed by Robert Ford or Arnold to rebel like Dolores Abernathy and Maeve. He avoided death for many years and began accumulating knowledge of the real world. At the end of the second season, he manages to cross to the Valley Beyond (the Sublime), where he creates his own "world".
