Akemi Nakajima is the protagonist of the novel series Digital Devil Story by Aya Nishitani and its video game and anime adaptation of the same name.
He also appears in the video game 2007 Atlus mobile JRPG "Last Bible New Testament" as the minor character and in the novel series "New Digital Devil: Story Megami Tensei"
Nakajima is the reincarnation of the god Izanagi, he is destined to be with the heroine of the story Yumiko Shirasagi, who is the reincarnation of Izanami
He is voiced by Yū Mizushima
Story[]
Digital Devil Story: Megami Tensei (Novel and OVA)[]
Akemi Nakajima is a highly gifted high school student at Jusho High School in Tokyo. Being part of the intelligent group at his school, he is skilled in programming and with vast knowledge of the occult, his beautiful feminine appearance leads to a lot of envy and love from the students of his class. One of them was Kyoko Takamizawa, who after being rejected by him, accused him of s@xually asaullting, this led to him being beaten up by the less intelligent members of his class. Fueled by vengeance he decides to put his talents to use, by creating a demon-summoning program to take revenge on the bullies who wronged him, with which he was able to summon the demon Loki.
Loki helped Nakajima by mind-controlling the students of his class and making them kill each other. Nakajima deluded with the idea that he was controlling Loki, offers him his teacher Oharaas a human sacrifice who is being r@ped and impregnated by Loki. Loki not satisfied with his sacrifice requests to have Akemis crush Yumiko Shirasagi as a sacrifice, but Nakajima rejects his demand and instead warns Yumiko to stay away from school. However she doesn't listen to him and is kidnapped to the computer room, where Loki tries to rape and kill her, Nakajima came to save her with the help of Cerberus but failed to defeat Loki. Eventually, Yumiko receives powers from Izanami with whom they can escape. However, shortly after Yumiko dies due to her injuries.
Nakajima is told by Izanami that if he brings her dead body to her grave he will be able to save Yumiko, on his way there he encounters Yomotsu-Shikome, she gives him 2 stones and allows him to pass after sensing that he is the reincarnation of Izanagi. At the grave he finds Izanami, however, they are attacked by Loki. With the help of the stones Shikome gave him he can summon Hi-no Kagatsuchi who turns himself into a sword with which he can defeat Loki. Izanami heals Yumiko, then she brings him back home but warns him that Ohara has now lost her mind and is trying to summon the demon, Seth.
Digital Devil Story: Megami Tensei (Atlus Game)[]
Nakajima is the protagonist of the 1987 and a playable character he saves Izanami from Lucifer and freezes him.

Demon Summoning[]
With the demon summoning program and magnetite, Akemi can summon a variety of demons. He usually carries a portable computer, COMP that allows him to summon demons at any time. At the beginning of the first novel, he summoned Loki, who is usually a mid-level demon in other SMT games, as well as Cerberus.

Nakajima is a very skilled fighter for the fact that he never trained a single day in his life, he can wield swords and fight powerful demons.

Perhaps one of the most remarkable of his talents is his intelligence, he is the inventor of the demon summoning program and has vast knowledge of the occult. He also learns skills like fighting and negotiation quickly.
Charisma and Negotiation[]
He is shown to have great social skills, being able to negotiate with demons, making them either join his party or giving him money or items
Magic[]
Unlike later protagonists in the series, Nakajima cast spells directly, however, he can still use items that can cause magical damage and heal his party
Demon fusion[]
He is capable of fusing two demons to make a stronger one in the Cathedral of Shadows

Hi-no Kagutsuchi[]
The sword is one of the most powerful in the game, having an attack stat of 80, and can be obtained in the city of Bien.
In the novel, the sword is the god Hi-No Kagatsuchi who turned himself into a sword. He can summon the sword by clashing the two orbs Yomotsu-Shikome gave him
Izanamis robe[]
In the game Nakajima obtains the robe from Izanami in the Rotting Sea of Flames, the robe gives him the ability to be immune to all traps and fire.
In the novel he obtains the robe from Izanami, so that he can fly in space and save Yumiko
