Akira Nishino is a major antagonist in the light novel and manga series The Eminence in Shadow. He is the older brother of Akane Nishino, who worked as a scientist and the leader of Messiah, an organization that established after the apocalypse that took place on Earth in Japan.
Appearance[]
Akira was a good-looking Japanese young adult man with chin-length black hair and black eyes. He wore black-fram glasses.
Personality[]
Akira is a welcoming, brilliant, and ambitious man who holded obsession Driven and determined, Nishino's obsession with mastering and understanding magic defined his research. When displeased, Akira can get offended, as displayed by his expressions. Although generally amicable, he could seem aloof upon first encounters with strangers. Though he professed that his actions were for the benefit of humanity, his patronizing demeanor, use of human subjects for testing, and lack of guilt for his harmful actions painted showed otherwise.
His unrelenting pursuit of scientific discovery showed as someone to lack empathy, including using his own younger sister, Akane, in his experiments, ignoring the consequence it could bring to her.
Although Akira was a highly cerebral man, his overbearing pride overshadowed it. Overconfident in himself that he has the power to handle any circumstance, he often disregarded the possible negative outcomes of his experiments.
