Al Kamp is a minor antagonist in the 2014 comic book series The Fade Out.
Biography[]
With Victor Thursby, Kamp founded the movie studio Victory Street Pictures and expanded it to make a loft. Kamp also has a big ranch north to Ojai and uses it to shoot westerns movies. Kamp also casted a group of young people called the “Krazy Kids”. Kamp took advantage of this situation to sexually abuse them and recorded every séance of it.
In the present, apparently senile, Kamp appears in the fifth issue. He enters in a Los Angeles pub and is greeted by the waitress. However, Kamp slaps her and demands a younger model. The waitress concedes, much to Kamp’s joy. After introducing himself, Kamp recruits the young girl.
The young girl is found out by Charlie Parish and Maya Silver tied to a tree. Kamp arrives and yells at them to not untie her, as she knew what he did. When questioned by Charlie, Kamp retorts that this is none of their business. He insults Maya, who slaps him. He then says he remembers Maya when she was a “stuck-up bitch”.
Kamp is later found dead in his bathtub by Charlie and his friend Gil Mason. It is revealed that he was killed by FBI agents to cover up his dark secrets.
