Albert Sims is the main antagonist of the 2003 PS2 video game Disaster Report. He was a crooked director of the Land Development Department responsible for the destruction of Stiver Island.
He was voiced by Aso Tomohisa in the japanese version and Adam Harrington in English.
Biography[]
Albert Sims has been involved in politics since the time of Capital Island's construction. He was tasked by the mysterious client to destroy the island for profit and killed Terry Stiver's family under the guise of an accident in order to manipulate him to destroy Capital Island, and even incited hatred towards his government by ostensibly treating him as his best friend. He than allowed Terry to pollute and overfill the capital City reservoir in order to create the quakes. This lead to the catastrophic destruction of the island, with over 2000 people dead or missing.
He first appears when Keith Helm meets a bleeding man. Sims says that he will take care of the man, but if Keith will go back, the man will be dead and Albert quickly escapes to his helicopter.
Later he is seen in the Land Development Department building, right after Keith finds the recording of Sims and Terry's plan. He comes to his office and boasts to his client on how he manged to get Terry under his thumb and that he is planning to get rid of him painfully, because killing his family would mean very little in his mind. Keith tires to escape the office, but is quickly cought by Sims Sniper. They both leave him on the top of the roof, believe that the queues will take care of him for them. He then leaves to take care of the other lose ends.
Later in the game, he sends his sniper and bazooka goons after Keith, after seeing that he is still alive. Helm however, manges to escape the Sniper and kill the Bazooka goon.
During the final evacuation, he comes to the Terry's office. At the same time, Keith and his friends reveal the truth to Striver, who tells them to leave so they won't have to deal with Albert.
However, Sims ends up attempting to kill Keith once again by trying to shoot Keith and his friends speed boat by his helicopter and sending the Sniper after them. After the Sniper's death, he comes out to kill Keith himself. However, right as he is shoots Keith, Terry intervines and asks him if he was the one who killed his family. Sims replays by shooting him, without any care for his spoused "friend". Stiver, in his last breath striken with the sense of revenge, walks up to him and despite being shoot few more times, he manged to grab Sims and throw him off the roof, killing them both.
