Alberto the Shadow is a major antagonist in the 1983 film Scarface.
He is the personal bodyguard of Alejandro Sosa and one of his top assassins alongside The Skull, being described as top expert in disposal business.
He was portrayed by late Mark Margolis, who also played Antonio Nappa in Oz, Felix Faust in Constantine, George Lobrano in Law & Order, and Hector Salamanca in Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul.
Biography[]
Alberto, also known as "The Shadow", is the bodyguard and hitman of Alejandro Sosa. He is first seen calling Alex over while he was having a meeting with Omar Suarez and Tony Montana. He whispers to Sosa that Suarez is a police informant. He later brings Suarez to a helicopter with The Skull, in which they beat him and forcibly hang him from the helicopter.
Three years later, he is sent with Tony to New York to assassinate a journalist who is threatening to expose Sosa's illegal activities. However, upon learning that the journalist has his family with him, Tony tells Alberto to call off the hit. Alberto nevertheless insists on going through with it, even if it means killing a woman and her children.
Before Alberto can detonate the bomb, however, Tony shoots him in the head, killing him instantly.
