Aldrich is a minor antagonist in the manga and anime series The Seven Deadly Sins. He is a Holy Knight who disguised himself as a merchant to murder Helbram and his fairy friends for their wings, causing Helbram to go insane and despising all humans. Helbram would use his form to attempt genocide on humanity.
Appearance[]
Aldrich is a brutish and muscular man despite his old age. He has green hair with a scruffy beard and wears an eye patch on his left eye. He wears a golden set of armor with blue lining and carries a broadsword with him.
Personality[]
Aldrich is one of the few characters in the series to show no redeeming qualities or comedic moments who's crimes are played straight for horror. He is a cunning and manipulative human who acted friendly towards the fairies in order to lower their guard so he could capture them. He shows no remorse over torturing them one-by-one as they watch eachother so he can rip off their wings and sell them to the black market.
Biography[]
A few hundred years ago, Aldrich and his companions came across several fairies and made friends with them. They gained their trust by promising to provide them free items, but the old warrior quickly grabbed the fairies by taking advantage of their confusion. Helbram's buddies' wings were mercilessly torn off by the humans as they prepared to sell them for a high price. King, the monarch of the Fairy World, became aware of Aldrich's deeds right away and sped off to save the fairies. Aldrich ambushed the Fairy King and sliced him from behind by the time King came; he could not find any of them still alive. Helbram observed his friend being thrown off the cliff and shot Aldrich out of revenge after believing King was already dead.
To this day, Helbram has used his physical form as a reminder of how much he hates humans to enact his genocide on them.
