Alect Squadron are the secondary antagonists of the video game Ace Combat X: Skies of Deception. They are an elite flight squadron of Leasath Air Force that, depending on the course of events, may be entrusted with the experimental Fenrir aircraft during the Aurelian War.
The Alect pilots' voice actors are uncredited.
History[]
Alect Squadron had a great reputation among other LAF pilots, answering directly to the commanding officer Navarro. They spent most of the Aurelian War on standby, far away from the frontline, until Navarro decided it was time to demonstrate what the experimental stealth fighter XFA-33 Fenrir, convincing Alect to assist him by giving them a chance to fight Gryphus 1, the national hero of Aurelia.
In preparation for the fight, Alect Squadron departed for the Archelon fortress.
Fate[]
The outcome of the squadron's mission depends on the choices made by the player throughout the campaign.
- If the player chooses to play mission 14A "Fire Storm", Gryphus 1 will destroy Leasathian HPM weapon before they can reach Archelon, but the Alect Squadron will arrive there uninterrupted, and subsequently pilot the Fenrir in the final showdown against Gryphus, which they nevertheless lose. XFA-33's description in Ace Combat Infinity implies that this is the canon route.
- If the player chooses to play mission 13A "Alect Squadron", the squadron will be intercepted and shot down on their way to Archelon, but the HPM will be successfully delivered there and used in tandem with the Fenrir, piloted by less skilled pilots.
