“ | Alejandro Sosa: So, how's this going to work, Tony? How do we solve our problem? Tony Montana: You're going to die, Alex, for everything you've done in your entire life. Alejandro Sosa: What about what you did? I told you not to f**k me, and you did, Tony. Tony Montana: There were kids in the f**king car, Alex! Innocent kids! Huh, what kind of animals you got working for you? Alejandro Sosa: I want to clear something up with you, Tony, before I kill you. When you move 400 kilos a month, it's imperative that you do kill children. That way, heroes don't get confused and go on "60 Minutes". They instead crawl back into the hole they came from. Tony Montana: Hey, Sosa, it's time for you to make that crawl, huh? |

~ Alejandro Sosa's last words before getting killed by Tony Montana. |
Alejandro Sosa is the main antagonist of the 2006 video game Scarface: The World Is Yours, a pseudo-sequel to the 1983 epic crime drama film Scarface.
Like in the film, Alejandro Sosa is a powerful international drug lord at Bolivia and Tony Montana's former friend up until the latter betrayed him. However, whereas Tony is killed by his men in the film, the video game shows what would have happened if Tony had avoided being killed, leading him to escape and plan his revenge against Sosa.
He was voiced by Robert Davi, who also played Jake Fratelli in The Goonies, Franz Sanchez in Licence to Kill, Robert Masterson in The Taking of Beverly Hills, Hans Zarba in Son of the Pink Panther, Rtas 'Vadum in Halo, Juan Cortez in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Goran Vata in The Expendables 3.
Biography[]
Before the Video Game[]
Scarface: The World Is Yours[]
Furious at Tony Montana for killing Alberto the Shadow and sparing the journalist who had information that could prosecute him alongside his associates, Alejandro Sosa sends his men to Miami, Florida to murder Tony at his mansion. Shortly afterwards, a huge hit-squad composed of Sosa's best men attack the Montana Mansion and get rid of Tony's men. However, Tony becomes aware of their presence when one of the hitmen murders his sister Gina, leading Tony to defend himself from the other goons. However, when The Skull, Sosa's best assassin, comes from behind to shoot Tony with a shotgun, Tony turns back and kills The Skull before shooting his way through Sosa's men and successfully escaping before the DEA and the Miami-Dade police arrive at his house. One of Sosa's surviving henchmen calls him and notifies that Tony is gone and his drug empire destroyed, much to Sosa's satisfaction.
Three months later, Montana's drug empire has been reduced to nothing, leading Sosa to work along with Gaspar Gomez to take over what remains of Montana's old turf. Sosa's power over Miami increases to the point that most drug dealers must to report to Sosa, leaving Tony with few allies. However, Tony resurfaces in the criminal underworld and manages to recover step by step his power and influence, getting rid of any rivals like Ricardo, the Diaz Brothers and Nacho Contreras, finding an ally with The Sandman, a cocaine producer from the Caribbean islands who also wants Sosa gone.
After recovering his power and wealth, Tony finally goes back to Bolivia to get rid of Sosa, who has reunited with Gomez and Tony's former lawyer George Sheffield to discuss how to get rid of Tony, with Sheffield proposing Sosa to send the military after him. However, once he arrives at Sosa's mansion, Tony shoots his way through Sosa's remaining henchmen (minus one); he kills both Sheffield and Gomez during the shootout. Finally Tony comes face-to-face with Sosa, waiting for him at his living room. Tony tells Sosa that he will kill him and that he spared the journalist's life because his children were inside the car. To Tony's disgust, Sosa expresses his opinion that in their business, children have to die if it means higher profits. Sosa then attempts to kill Tony with his gun as the two engage in a shootout, but Tony emerges victorious by shooting Sosa multiple times - killing Sosa and finally earning his revenge in the process.
Trivia[]
- Unlike his film counterpart, the Scarface: The World Is Yours version of Alejandro Sosa is arguably worse given his lack of care that the journalist's assassination would have meant the deaths of his kids. In the film, Sosa was never shown to be aware of this.
- Ironically enough, he holds back his resources so this makes him fall short of his vile actions.
- During the final mission "Kill Sosa", Sosa can only be killed if Tony Montana uses an AK-47. Even if Tony tries to blow him up with a Bazooka, Sosa will strangely survive the explosion.
- Sosa's opinion that sometimes children die in the drug trafficking business could be an indicator that Sosa may have murdered children in the past, though this is unproven.
