Aleksander Kovak is both the client and titular overarching antagonist of The Last Yardbird, a Sniper Assassin mission featured in HITMAN 2.
Whilst not a target (but a client of ICA) and largely unseen throughout the mission, Aleksander is the catalyst of this mission for immoral desires, being responsible for his remaining Yardbirds collaborators' demise in order to fulfill his self-serving goals.
Biography
In the early 80's, Kovak founded of the Yardbirds, an infamous international gang of thieves which committed heists while hiding their identities behind bird masks, and enlisted the help of Dorian Lang, Doris Lee, Guillaume Maison and Kalvin Ritter.
Together, the five used bird masks to hide their identity and pulled off daring heists all across the world. One such heist took place in Las Vegas, at the Shamal Casino, and would prove to be their final heist together. The heist was successful; however the money that was stolen turned out to be the property of organized criminals, who kick-started a violent campaign to unearth the thieves and reclaim what was taken.
Running out of options, Kovak and the rest of the Yardbird members entered an agreement, that they would bury the stolen millions and once the dust had settled, the remaining one of Yardbird would inherit the entirety of it. All of the Yardbirds retired and went into hiding for a number of years, until Kalvin Ritter was assassinated at the hands of Erich Soders.
Years later, after hearing about his remaining comrades would attend the wedding of Dorian Lang's daughter in Himmelstein, Austria, Kovak contacted ICA to assassinate all of them in order to obtain the concealed fortune. ICA sent either Agent 47 or sniping duo, Knight and Stone (dependent on player's choice), to assassinate them all and fulfill the contract, making Kovak to successfully retrieve the money.
However, Kovak was later found and captured in Panama City and was imprisoned for the rest of his days, spelling the end for The Yardbirds.
