Alex Yu is the secondary antagonist (or deuteragonist depending on player choice) of Prey 2017.
He is Morgan Yu’s older brother who attempts to stop Morgan from destroying the Talos 1 station admist the Typhon outbreak.
He is voiced by Benedict Wong in Prey and then later by David Chen in Prey: Mooncrash.
Personality[]
Alex Yu is characterized as very intelligent, prideful, and know for having unshakable confidence, making it incredibly easy to manipulate those around him. Morgan describes him as “allergic to failure” as he prevents Morgan almost every step of the way to discovering a way to destroy Talos 1. He is also prone to nepotism, as shown with naming Morgan Vice President of TranStar and his cousin Riley Director aboard the Pytheas Moon Station.
Alex is also known for being too proud to acknowledge his own failures especially regarding the Typhon outbreak. Alex is arrogant and overconfident, chastizing Sarah Elazar when she complains to him on the quality of their equipment and refusing to accept anyone else's ideas besides his own.
Despite this, Alex loves him family more then anything and is willing to go far lengths for them. Throughout the game Alex is shown to monitor Morgan closely and expresses sorrow regarding their personality drift and shows regret rather than anger over their decision to destroy Talos 1.
