With his rivalry, it was the time where Alf tried and succeeded in taking over Spot's business. With successfully taking over the business, he has a sudden heart attack and dies in 1942, with his son Harry White taking over of what he started. Harry fails his dad's wishes by taking over Jack's business and Spot confronts him about it, but pays his respects to Alf. He then quotes to Harry "you'll never be like your dad. He was an honorable man".
