Alfred Alembick is the secondary antagonist of the Tintin book King Ottokar's Sceptre and it's 1991 television adaptation. He is the identical twin brother of Hector Alembick who stole his brother's identity as part of the Bordurian/Syldavian conspiracy of stealing the Ottokar Sceptre in order to force King Muskar XII's abdication. He is also part of the Z.Z.R.K organization led by the Borduria dictator Kurvi-Tasch.

He was voiced by Peter Wildman, who also voiced his brother.

Biography

Alfred Alembick is first seen under the stolen identity of his twin brother, which he stole after his brother was kidnapped. When Tintin suspects that the professor has been captured via his phone call, he runs to his room, only to see the professor, oddly undisturbed. The two then board a plane to Syldavia in order to stop the conspirators from stealing the Ottokar Sceptre. However, Tintin is more suspicious as this professor does not smoke or wear spectacles, which isn't normal as the real professor does smoke and has poor eyesight. Tintin tries to take out the professor's beard, thinking he is an imposter, but it's actually real beard.

As Tintin was flying over Syldavia, the plane's pilot drops him down into a haywagon. The professor isn't dropped down however, proving that he is surely part of the conspiracy along with the pilot. Despite the conspirators' efforts, the king is successfully warned by Tintin about the conspiracy. He is then found unconscious alongside some guards and the royal photographer in the treasure room. However, this was only a distraction as Alembick used a fake camera with a spring inside it to toss the sceptre outside as he asked for "some photographs".

It is later revealed by the authorities that the "professor" Tintin boarded the plane with was actually Alfred Alembick, the twin brother of the kidnapped Hector Alembick who he stole the identity to stay undetected. He was then arrested for his crimes.
