So he commands you to spread him around the internet! So, spread him around the internet, and tell your friends, and post on forums. Because he is Jesus, and you will do it for him. He is also superior. So he commands you to post him in forums or else you will be damned to hell.

~ The description for 'Alfred Christ', claiming to be written by Alfred himself. |
Alfred Christ is the villainous protagonist of the 2009 Newgrounds animation Alfred Christ, and a supporting character in the 2013 - 2016 animated psychological horror film The Alfred Alfer Movie.
He is a maniacal, malevolent, psychotic, reckless and evil resurrection of the son of God, Jesus Christ, and is one of many aliases conjured by the horribly ill mind of a dog named Alfred Alfer.
While Alfred Christ is never shown speaking, his main identity, Alfred, is voiced by his creator, Emily Youcis, who also voiced Labby in The Alfred Alfer Movie and the title character in Alfred Alfer and Phat Dawg.
Appearance[]
Alfred is a dopey, floppy, skinny cartoon dog of moderate height with a thousand yard stare, tan fur, a slightly lighter tan-coloured round belly, a long snout with sharp teeth and a dark purple nose, and small pink paws. As Alfred Christ, he wears a wide, mindless grin and a golden plate behind his head (A recurring visual leitmotif within Emily Youcis' works representing holiness, the only others to wear such being Donald Trump, and Jesus Christ himself.)
Biography[]
Alfred's alias "Alfred Christ" is first used in the Newgrounds animation of the same name, where he emerges from the grave of Jesus Christ, removes a crown of thorns from his head and the nails from his wrists, takes a shower and begins dancing around and smiting random people.
Originally, Alfred Christ was a charming Newgrounds shitpost and nothing more, its only other relevance to any Alfred media being Alfred branding. However, while creating The Alfred Alfer Movie, Alfred creator Emily Youcis made the decision to incorporate Alfred's holy imagery into the plot, having Alfred ascend to the status of internet godhood, with his "smiting" powers taking the form of sending harmful viruses to people's devices that make them explode and kill their users.
Trivia[]
- Alfred's holy status likely isn't the only aspect of Alfred Christ that inspired plot points in The Alfred Alfer Movie.
- Two zombie women can be seen doing the Alfred Christ dance at the start of Alfred Christ before Alfred rises from his tomb. It could be possible that these were the inspiration for the Dead Girl Strippers at Where The Dead Go To Drink.
- The land of Where The Dead Go To Die could be inspired by the setting of Alfred Christ, as they're both baron wasteland with photoshopped abandoned buildings and walking dead that were subject to needless violence at the hands of a madman that left it in ruin.
- Alfred Christ is not the first Alfred animation depicting Alfred as a biblical figure. In Rise of Alfred, Alfred puts up various propaganda posters of himself, referring to himself as "Disciple-worthy" and depicting him in a mockery of The Last Supper in Jesus' place.
- In the 2006 Emily Youcis animation Jesus Christ Porn Star, Alfred actually meets Jesus, who saves him from the perverted clutches of a rapist named Paul Thomas, who makes a short cameo appearance in the infamous 2007 Alfred's Playhouse series, possibly hinting that Jesus Christ Porn Star is canon, and Alfred meeting Christ and witnessing the way everyone in the room bends to his will was what fueled Alfred's obsession with being Jesus, as Alfred is respected by nobody and a complete isolate.
- Ironically, despite trying to impersonate Christ, Alfred and his alters displayed several qualities that fit the Seven Deadly sins.
- Envy: Alfred's main motivation throughout his story was to find the love and affection he craved, which spiralled into a need to be worshipped. As such, he spent much of his time stalking those more fortunate than him and simulating sexual intimacy and parental care with inanimate objects. Similarly, Dictator Pickles spent his existence despising Alfred for being able to disassociate while he was forced to endure constant sexual assault.
- Wrath: Dictator Pickles' goals revolved around destroying Alfred due to his hatred of Alfred, who inadvertently caused Dictator Pickles to be manifested into an existence of abuse, neglect and trauma. He insults Alfred and attempts to sabotage him at every turn, and even in his appearances where he seems to not utterly despise Alfred (Rise of Alfred), he still orders and eradicates two hundred perfectly good hamburgers purely because of his dislike of them. Additionally, in Ascent of Alfred, Alfred commits mass cyberterrorism purely because of mean comments online, and is also fondly looked upon and repeatedly saved from certain doom by several right-wing hate symbols.
- Gluttony: Alfred is quick to overindulge in every benefit he can whenever placed in a position of power, immediately assuming he's going to be worshipped like god once he's promoted to manager of Burritobell. He also indulges in so many dead, decaying corpses as Lucifer that he (according to Dictator Pickles) gets a sexually transmitted disease.
- Greed: Alfred expects no less than every single ounce of love from all of his subjects, expecting his employees to pledge their lives to him. In Dictator Pickles' TV show from Return to the Playhouse, "The Dictator Alfred Show", Pickles brutally murders several of the Burritobell employees after they neglect to stop mindlessly chanting his name, implying that they're incredibly expendable to him (which would be a result of an abundance of forced, mindless worship) inside the realm of his perfect world.
- Lust: From the very beginning, Alfred is incredibly lustful. As manager, he forces his employees to emphasize his sexual market value in song form and provide him sexual favours (or plans to, it's hard to tell), several animations he appears in completely revolve around Alfred participating in particularly lewd acts (even being directly referred to as a "poarn star" in the description of Alfred Fucks Himself as well as several other animations), completely forgets about his abandonment and suicide attempt when he sees boobies in Dead Girl Strip Club, and he even eventually develops an entire alternate personality around his sexual attraction to dead bodies, spending much of The Alfred Alfer Movie having sex.
- Pride: Alfred, despite briefly acknowledging his status as a pathetic, lowly, unloved animal, is always trying to convince himself and others that he's akin to the Christ child. He writes an entire song about how beautiful and great he is, he makes propaganda posters about himself, he's the person that the entirety of the Playhouse revolves around (although this is to be expected in the mind of anybody, especially a narcissist), and plugs his entire consciousness into the internet immediately after he realises that he has fans beyond the fourth wall willing to fuel his ego and love him.
- Sloth: Throughout his reign as manager of Burritobell, Alfred almost never does his job. For a brief moment, he's seen cleaning and putting up Burritobell posters, but this is short-lived as he immediately launches into making it all about him with his propaganda posters. Additionally, he doesn't ever attempt to get honest work again, instead opting to go into hiding at his house (although this could be a result of his horrid mental state leaving Alfred unable to care about or pursue work). Despite the disturbing nature of Alfred's Playhouse, and its status as the most famous piece of Alfred media, all the trilogy dumbs down to is Alfred wandering around his house and doing nothing (excluding cutting himself and kidnapping someone by accident).
- In Ascent of Alfred, a protesting strawman is seen among the endless crowds of mindless MAGA Dogs, holding a sign reading "ALFRED ALFER IS HITLER", before he is promptly smote by Alfred. This is ironic, considering that Hitler, who appears as the secondary antagonist of Rise of Alfred (alongside Stalin), is heavily implied to be an extension of Dictator Pickles, Alfred's evil alter ego who merges with him by the events of Ascent of Alfred, meaning that Alfred, in a sense, is literally Hitler.
- At this point, if Alfred shared the exact same political views as Emily Youcis, it would make no sense for Alfred to smite anyone who refers to him as Hitler, as he would likely take it as a compliment.
- Alfred Christ (aside from the infamous Alfred's Playhouse trilogy) is one of Emily Youcis' most famous animations to date, being subject of many fan recreations featuring people's OCs (Original Characters).
