|“||With Risen, we can create the perfect killers! They don't question orders, and they don't stop until their targets are vanquished. Of course crafting them isn't easy… It requires genius of the highest order. ...If I do say so myself, heh heh! Now THESE, the assassins before you, are the culmination of my endeavors. I believe you're familiar with their work?||„|
|“||Heh heh... Leaving Plegia so soon? No, please, stay awhile. Stay... forever!||„|
Algol is a minor antagonist in Fire Emblem Awakening. Algol is a dark priest and a member of the Grimleal, becoming the leader of a pack of Risen that he created.
Algol is a middle-aged man with slightly dark skin, pink hair, and orange eyes. Despite being a priest, Algol doesn't wear any sort of standard dress for his position, instead going shirtless with brown straps across his body, purple paint across his cheeks, a golden earring, red shoulder armor with pink spikes on it, and brown bandages around his arms.
After defeating Walhart, Chrom and the Shepherds head to Plegia Castle to meet with Validar and Aversa. During the meeting, Validar requested for Chrom to give him the Fire Emblem, and when Chrom refused to give it to him, Validar ordered his soldiers to capture them. As the Shepherds try to escape with the Fire Emblem, Algol, ordered by Validar, prevented them from escaping Plegia Castle, but he was defeated. Despite Algol's defeat, Validar ends up getting the Fire Emblem anyway.
After Algol survives and Grima was defeated, Algol leaves Ylisse and heads to the Outrealm. While in the Outrealm, Algol came across a village and murders the people in village. After this massacre, Algol took the remaining survivors to a temple and then transforms the villagers into Risen. with one of them becoming a Risen Chief. Sometime after this. Chrom and the Shepherds arrived at the village to find all of the dead villagers with no survivors in sight. Frederick reported to Chrom about the information given by a nearby village about Algol taking the survivors to a temple, and so they head there. While exploring the temple ,the Shepherds confront Algol again, and when Chrom asks him where are the villagers, Algol ignores him and go on about his Risen being his work of art. Soon, Chrom eventually finds out that the Risen he see right before him are the villagers, and Algol them sends his creations towards Chrom's group, causing a battle that either results in either his death or escape.
|“||Heh heh. Signal the men in hiding, and give these Ylissean scum no quarter!Algol||„|
|“||Alive? Oh, I'm afraid not... This lot have long since passed. But you can take solace that they're with a higher power now—me!||„|
|“||Hah! You're the one who barged into my house, uninvited boy! But please, do make yourselves comfy... as much as possible, heh heh. I'm guessing you'll be staying here for quite some time, after all...||„|
|“||Games? These are no games I'm crafting, sir—these are feats of skill. Works of art. And as for what happened to the villagers... Well, you're about to find out firsthand.||„|
|“||Hah! Such a naïve question! Because living people HURT, boy. They feel pain—and they fear it. And the clink of coin, or even one kiss, is enough to buy their betrayal. Oh, we tried the living... and tired of them failing on us, one fool after another. But the dead we brought back—they're another story entirely.||„|
|“||Yes, that village, and so many others… I've lost count, to be honest. But honing your craft takes practice, you know. And I've had a LOT of practice... And now, I'm finally ready to unveil my masterpiece! My ultimate creation! Behold!||„|
|“||Amazing, the magic you can work in a man's final moments... One meaningful whisper, and he remains indebted to you beyond the grave. They've no choice, no free will... Only the need to serve their master.||„|
|“||Go, my children! Make your master proud! And do it quickly. I am needed elsewhere... But I promise to linger long enough to see them suffer... Heh heh...||„|
|“||...What? No... I decide who dies... Heek! Spare me...please...||„|
