Algol is a minor antagonist in Fire Emblem Awakening. Algol is a dark priest and a member of the Grimleal, becoming the leader of a pack of Risen that he created.
Appearance[]
Algol is a middle-aged man with slightly dark skin, pink hair, and orange eyes. Despite being a priest, Algol doesn't wear any sort of standard dress for his position, instead going shirtless with brown straps across his body, purple paint across his cheeks, a golden earring, red shoulder armor with pink spikes on it, and brown bandages around his arms.
Biography[]
After defeating Walhart, Chrom and the Shepherds head to Plegia Castle to meet with Validar and Aversa. During the meeting, Validar requested for Chrom to give him the Fire Emblem, and when Chrom refused to give it to him, Validar ordered his soldiers to capture them. As the Shepherds try to escape with the Fire Emblem, Algol, ordered by Validar, prevented them from escaping Plegia Castle, but he was defeated. Despite Algol's defeat, Validar ends up getting the Fire Emblem anyway.
After Algol survives and Grima was defeated, Algol leaves Ylisse and heads to the Outrealm. While in the Outrealm, Algol came across a village and murders the people in village. After this massacre, Algol took the remaining survivors to a temple and then transforms the villagers into Risen. with one of them becoming a Risen Chief. Sometime after this. Chrom and the Shepherds arrived at the village to find all of the dead villagers with no survivors in sight. Frederick reported to Chrom about the information given by a nearby village about Algol taking the survivors to a temple, and so they head there. While exploring the temple ,the Shepherds confront Algol again, and when Chrom asks him where are the villagers, Algol ignores him and go on about his Risen being his work of art. Soon, Chrom eventually finds out that the Risen he see right before him are the villagers, and Algol them sends his creations towards Chrom's group, causing a battle that either results in either his death or escape.
