Biography[]
First Season[]
After the construction of the Orbital Elevators, financial challenges rise around the world, and in the Middle-East, countries and militant groups started to engage war on each other. During this chaos, Ali Al-Saachez founded the terrorist group KPSA consisted of young children he had brainwashed to fight for a “God” that Ali himself didn’t believe in to fight against Azadistan forces in Krugis. To prove their loyalty, Ali also had them to kill their own parents, with Setsuna F. Seiei being one of the children. Outside of Middle-East, Ali also performed terrorist acts such as bombing a building in Ireland, which killed Locko Sibling’s family. Later, after the fall of Krugis Republic, Ali switched to become a mercenary for hire instead.
In the anime, Ali was introduced as he and his mercenary group are hired by South African country to fight over for mineral mines, however, before they arrive, Lockon Stratos/Neil Dylandy already wiped out Ali’s client force. Ali was later hired by PMC Trust to capture a Gundam, being promised of great rewards, and was given the brand new Enact Mobile Suit for combat.
As Setuna, who now becomes a Gundam Mesiter, is fighting in Moralia in the Gundam Exia. Ali spotted the Gundam Exia and engaged in combat with the Enact. After Setsuna destroyed Enact’s weapon, he sent a code to Ali to ask him to open the cockpit. While ignoring at first, Ali saw Setsuna opening Exia’s cockpit. Amused, Ali revealed himself. Setsuna instantly recognised Ali, and attempted to shoot him on spot, but Ali pointed his gun to Setsuna as well. Before they can shoot each other, Lockon stepped in with the Gundam Dynames, forcing Ali to retreat to his secret base. In there, Ali suspects that if Setsuna is someone he knows back in Krugis.
Soon, in Azadistan, the political tension between Conservative Party and Reformist Party rises, and Ali and his mercenaries make things worse by kidnapping Massoud Rachmadi, the leader of Conservative Party to trigger a civil war in Azadistan, with Ali creating more social unrest by destroying solar power receiver antennas with missiles that even overwhelmed Lockon.
After that, Ali went to hiding in Kurdish Republic and was tracked down and confronted by Setsuna, this time, Ali recognised Setsuna as one of the child soldier that used to work for him, they both engaged in combat while Ali’ men took Massoud away. While Ali’s Enact Custom managed to pin Exia on the floor, Setsuna sliced off the Enact’s arm, forcing him to retreat. Meanwhile, other Gundam Mesiter rescued Massoud, ending the Azadistan civil war. Thus, Ali winded up to AEU under the identity of Gary Biaggi and was given the Mobile Armour Agrissa.
Later, in an attempt to take down the Gundam Mesiter , the power all over the world set up a trap at Taklamakan Desert and overwhelmed all four Gundam pilots with overwhelming force. After 16 hours where they are all exhausted, Ali show up in the Agrissa and attacked Setsuna with plasma field, attempting to electrocute him to death. But midway through the torturing, Gundam Throne Drei show up and forced Ali to retreat.
Eventually, the engine of the Gundam, GN Drives, were replicated and given to world powers by Alejandro Corner, leading to the creation of the first mass produced GN Drive machine, GN-X. Ali caught wind to this as well, and requested Laguna Harvey to give him such mech. Laguna declined, and as Ali stormed off in anger, he was encountered by reporter Kinue Crossroad, who is currently investigating Laguna Harvey’s involvement of Celestial Being. And since Laguna declined Kinue, she decided to interview Ali who had just finished taking with Laguna. Ali accepted, even letting her to ride his car. Throughput the ride, Ali revealed his true colour as a warmongering terrorist to Kinue before stabbing her to death in a dark alley. He later returned to kill Laguna, and obtained location of the Team Trinity as well.
With that, as Team Trinity is being hunted all across the world, Ali tracked them down and told them he is there to help from the request of a sponsor, Johann Trinity asked if that was Laguna, to which Ali told him smugly that he killed Laguna and shot Michael Trinity in the heart at the same time, with Nena Trinity screaming in terror. Johann attempted to shoot Ali, but the mercenary dodged and dislocated Johan’s shoulder before letting him to get back on his Gundam Throne Eins for amusement as Ali hijacked Michael’s Throne Zwei. With that, Johann was no match for Ali and was quickly killed. Ali then switched his target to Nena, only for Setsuna to intervene. Ali at first overwhelmed Setsuna, but at the same time, Setsuna activated Exia’s Trans-Arm System, moving at incredible speed and forced Ali to retreat.
Ali later joined the squadron of GN-X with his Throne Zwei to confront the Gundam Mesiter once and for all, with his main targets being Lockon Stratos/Neil Dylandy and the Gundam Dynames.
In space, Ali and a squad of GN-X chased the Gundam Dynames to an asteroid field after Ali scrapped Lockon’s GN Arms. In there, they crashed, and Lockon recognised Ali from the description from Setsuna, he attacked Ali in rage, asking why would he bomb the building in Ireland, to which Ali told him it was because he is a mercenary. Lockon said Ali shouldn’t drag innocent people in, and Ali mocked Lockon that he is too a “war hating terrorist”. The two continue to crash and argue, as Lockon said Ali is embodiment of war meanwhile Ali claimed they were not so different, much to Lockon’s rage. During their fight, Daryl, one of the pilot of GN-X, kamikazed his machine into the Gundam Dynames, and seen Lockon couldn’t see with right eye, he was hit. Ali noticed this weakness and took it to his advantage, heavily damaging the Gundam Dynames with Fangs from the Throne Zwei. Still not giving up in avenging his family, Lockon left the cockpit of Gundam Dynames meanwhile asking the robot Haro to pilot the remains of Dynames back to the ship. Lockon managed to find a usable GN-Cannon from the remains of GN-Arm, and secretly aimed at Ali’s Throne Zwei, unfortunately, the Throne Zwei detected the rising heat and Ali fires at the GN-Cannon just as Lockon fired at Ali. Both weapon destroyed each other, but Neil perished, meanwhile Ali was rescued by UN Force. While badly burnt, Ali recovered and continued his mercenary career until he was hired by Ribbons Almark.
Second Season[]
Now working for Innovators and A-Laws, Ali was given the mission to oppress Azadistan as he was given the Arche Gundam, with Ali setting Azadistan ablaze.
Later, as Setsuna and Tieria were fleeing after an investigation on Ribbons Almark in the 00 Raiser and Seravee Gundam respectively, Ali was sent to intercept them. With his skills and Arche Gundam’s power, Setsuna and Tieria were no match for him, but Lockon Stratos/Lyle Dylandy and Allelujah Haptism stepped in, forcing Ali to retreat again.
Back in Innovator hides out, Ali met Nena, who tried to avenge her brothers’ death by killing Ali, but Ali easily defeated Nena, leaving a bruise on her cheek.
Ali later accompanies Ribbons as Ribbons explains the truth of 0 Gundam to Setsuna in Krugis, before Setsuna could kill Ribbons, Ali shot Setsuna in the arm and the two engaged in a Mobile Suit fight, with Trans-Arm System, Setsuna overwhelmed Ali and leaves him at his mercy. Before Setsuna could finish Ali off, he hears the song from Marina. Ali then ejected out from the heavily damaged Arche Gundam with an escape pod.
In the Celestial Being mothership, the innovade Regene Regetta betrayed Ribbons and attempted to kill him, however, Ali killed Regene first.
Later, the Gundam Mesiters and combined power from world broke through the defence of Arthur Goodman, and Lyle Dylandy confronted Ali with his Cherudim Gundam. Ali’s Arche Gundam and his piloting skills were superior to that of Lyle. Midway through their fighting as Setsuna activated 00 Raiser’s Trans-Am Burst, everyone in the battle were able to hear each other’s thought. Lyle rightfully called Ali out for his senseless murder of the Dylandy Family, even calling Ali a psychopath. Ali then proudly announced that since he found out Lyle and Neil’s younger brother, Ali found that killing him would be “sweeter”.
The two continued to battle in the enclosed space of Celestial Being mothership, with environmental advantages, Lyle finally heavily damaged the Arche Gundam, and things would turn out to be worse for Ali when Teiria had the Seraphim Gundam activated its Trial Field, which disabled all Mobile Suit connected to Veda Supercomputer, including Ali’s Arche Gundam.
Ali then escaped, but Lyle caught up with Ali and held him at gun point, for a moment, Lyle wanted to kill Ali once and for all, but he hesitated when Anew Returner’s last words flow through his head. Ali attempted to use this chance to shoot Lyle while uttering “Fool!”, but Lyle managed to outdraw and shoot him serval times first, finally ending the life of Ali Al-Saachez with the mercenary dying with a frozen psychotic laughter on his face, avenging all of the innocent lives Ali had taken once and for all.
