Good god! You catch the plates on that one?!
~ Nick Valentine to the Sole Survivor upon witnessing the alien's crashing airship.

The unnamed Alien is a minor antagonist in the 2015 action-adventure RPG Fallout 4. It is a mysterious alien traveler who crash-lands in the post-apocalyptic Boston Commonwealth near Vault 81 some time after the Sole Survivor leaves Vault 111.

Behaviour[]

Sometime after reaching level 20, the Sole Survivor can witness the alien's airship crash-landing off in the distance, which will prompt dialogue from whichever companions are present. When approached, the only things present at the crash site (aside from scorched earth and trees, and the ship itself) will be a trail of green blood leading to a cave. Inside the cave will be the alien, who will immediately open fire on the player until it is killed or left alone. Killing the alien will award the player with an alien ray gun that deals massive damage, but comes with a limited amount of ammo that cannot be acquired anywhere else in the game (however, it can be modified to instead require fusion cores, which are much more replaceable).

Trivia[]

  • Eating the Alien with the cannibalism perk will make it bleed red, even though the Alien's blood appears green.
  • For whatever reason, the chapter of Hubologists living on the outskirts of Nuka World in Fallout 4: Nuka World are in possession of a nearly identical ray gun to the aliens. It's unknown how they obtained this gun, considering that they're rather fond of any kind of extraterrestrial life, and every Zetan is needlessly hostile towards every human they come across.
