Alissa Barrow is the secondary antagonist of Get Hard.
She is portrayed by Alison Brie, who also played Planetina in Rick and Morty, and Evil Annie in Community.
Overview[]
Alissa is the fiance of the protagonist James King and the daughter of Martin Barrow.
At the outset of the film, she is hosting an engagement party for herself and James, where she gives him an electric guitar as a gift and invites John Mayer on stage to perform. After James is arrested by the FBI for fraud and embezzlement and found guilty, the trial judge sentences him to 10 years in San Quantico Prison. Alissa dumps him after he attempted to persuade her to run off with her before being apprehended for violating his house arrest.
After Martin confesses his crime to James and Darnell, Alissa suddenly shows up and admits to her role in the scheme, thus revealing her true colors. Though she was appalled at her father's actions at first, she eventually got in on the plan.
After James had the cut ankle monitor on him which attracted the U.S. Marshals, Alissa is arrested along with her father and Gayle.
