Biography[]
Alistair was fired from MIT and Stanford for conducting ethically-challenging research and frequently clashed with supervisors. He was later hired by Lex Luthor due to his head-strong personality and his vast knowledge of cybernetics.
Lex made Kreig the head researcher of SynTechnics. Doctor Kreig was head of a project that dealt with near-deceased automobile accident victims, but used them as test subjects by attempting to outfit them with robotic parts. He supervised the experiments for the results.
His first successful subject was Victor Stone, a former football star who had been in a car accident near death, was held captive, and experimented on. Victor was transformed into a cyborg but managed to escape the facility with help from Dr. Hong and went looking for his girlfriend. But had a run-in with Lana Lang and Clark Kent. Having knowledge of Victor's girlfriend, Dr. Kreig arranged a trap for him at Katherine Goodwin's house. When Victor arrived, he found Kreig and more agents waiting for him instead. They forced him to come with him or they would harm Katherine and Victor reluctantly agreed.
When he exits, it was revealed that Lex set him up, knowing he would show up. They took him back to the SynTechnics lab where Lex informed Victor of SynTechnics' plans to insert a microchip into his brain that would strip him of all human emotions, essentially turning him into a robot for all intents and purposes.
Lex said he was helping Victor, but he knew better. Lex left the room so Dr. Kreig could do the procedure. Just as Dr. Kreig was about to drill into Victor's head, Clark Kent broke into the lab and rescued him using his super-speed. Kreig stood shocked to seeing Victor vanish not knowing what happened. Lex later shut down Syntechnics Lab off-screen since he was being investigated and exposed. Kreig was presumably arrested for his unethical experiments.
