In the most fantastical stories or outrageous lies, the stars found in the depths of the cosmos might be teeming with life, much like Teyvat, and the universe itself is akin to an ocean. Realistically speaking, however, if a profound universe full of life exists, why hasn't any of that life made contact with Teyvat? The All-Devouring Narwhal, also known as the Visitor from the Far Side of the Sea of Stars, is a major antagonist in the 2020 action role-playing fantasy video game Genshin Impact.
It is a massive narwhal-like entity hailing from the Abyss who consumes the waters from the Primordial Sea, and owned by Surtalogi.
Biography[]
Past[]
The pet of Surtalogi, much like its master, not much is known about their origins. However, it does not hail from Teyvat and has traversed the stars for an undocumented period of time before arriving to the planet.
Seeking to grow, Ptakhur arrived to Teyvat to consume energy from the planet's Primordial Sea. After consuming all the sea's contained energy, it set its sights on Fontaine. As Fontainians had it's energy on flowing on their veins, the narwhal prepared to target and consume the people.
Having seen Ptakhur in his dreams, Tartaglia escaped his prison sentence in the Fortress of Meropide and fled into the Primordial Sea to do battle against the monster. He would therefore delay the Narwhal's invasion for a short period of time.
Attacking Fontaine[]
At the end of Furina's trial, Ptakhur successfully opened a portal in the middle of the Opera House and began its attack on the Nation. Neuvillette attempted to subdue the beast, but was quickly overpowered. Ptakhur then charged at the fleeing audience. Yet before it could devour anyone, Tartaglia arrived in his Foul Legacy Form and continued to fight it. With help from Neuvillette, the two successfully fought Ptakhur back through the portal.
After being returned to full power thanks to the sacrifice of the Goddess, Focalors, Neuvillette, accompanied by the Traveler and Paimon, followed Ptakhur through the portal and back to the Primordial Sea. Using his authority over the Hydro element, Neuvillette separated the power of the Primordial Sea from the narwhal, allowing the Traveler to fight and defeat it. Yet before they were able to execute it, Skirk arrived and captured the Narwhal in a small orb using her power. With Ptakhur contained, she threw both its orb and an unconscious Tartaglia through a portal.

- Leaping Attack: It leaps and penetrates the ground to attack the Traveler.
