Allura is the main antagonist of the original version of the Journey of Atlantis attraction at SeaWorld Orlando. She is an evil siren that attempts to kill anyone who visits the city of Atlantis.
Biography[]
Guests board a boat and go into a city and is given the Greek god Hermes (in the form of a seahorse) as a guide into Atlantis as evil sirens reside there. Guests enter a coral reef where they are greeted by Allura in the form of a beautiful mermaid. Allura welcomes the guests and beckons to come closer. Hermes leads guests into the city which is abandoned. Hermes tries to lead the guests out of the city, much to Allura's anger. Furious, she turns into her true form (a monster with tentacle-like hair). Allura tries to kill the guests but the guests escape the temple, with Allura's green eyes peering down on them. After going down a sixty foot. drop, Allura cackles wickedly and uses her sea magic to lead the guests into a shrine dedicated to her. Allura tries once again to kill the guests, only to be rescued by Hermes, foiling her plan and escaping Allura's shrine.
Appearance[]
Allura first appears as a beautiful mermaid with blonde hair, an orange seashell bra, a crown, and a blue tail. Her true form is a monster with glowing green eyes, tentacle-like hair, fangs, beige and green skin, and dark-colored nails.

Trivia[]
- Allura's scream is combined of the animal noises of 8 different animals including a lion, a bear, and a rattlesnake.
- Allura does not appear in the California or Texas versions of the attraction and was removed in 2017 along with Hermes in the Orlando version along with the Beetlejuice theme song that played in the attraction.
- Allura is often mistaken for the mythological monster Medusa by fans due to her tentacle-like hair resembling snakes.
