Allura is the secondary antagonist of the fifth generation My Little Pony franchise, serving as the main antagonist of My Little Pony: Make Your Mark special My Little Pony: Secrets of Starlight. She is a winged snow leopard creature from another realm who took over Starlight Ridge and forced its residents to find a star that could open a portal to Equestria, not knowing she had it the whole time.
She was voiced by Julie Lemieux in her first villainous role.
Appearance[]
Allura is a purple snow leopard with lavender spots with indigo lines and lavender floof, especially under her tail, claws and paws. She has wings with purple feathers on top, blue feathers on middle and green feathers on bottom. She also has a blue mane with purple and green stripes and a savage golden eyes. Her cutie mark consists pink star with purple lights in front of cyan spiral. With two piercings on her left ear.
Personality[]
Allura is a power hungry, tyrannical, manipulative and persuasive snow leopard who desires to get anything what she wants, including conquering Starlight Ridge and other realms. She has no qualms using her trance by purring at the Auroricorns to create Aurora Flares and stole the stars to open the portal to any realm that she desires to conquer and order them to put a smile on their face to cover up their misery, showing how sadistic she is.
Despite how manipulative and intimidating she is, she can be easily getting tricked and foolish, as shown when the Mane Six and Violet Frost tricked her into thinking she had found the "portal" which allowed them to take the Nova Charm back from her and didn't aware that the star was inside the Nova Charm the whole time. While she was cornered, she never gives up on her ambitions and would do anything to resort for extreme measures like brainwashing Sunny's friends and Comet to attack her and Violet, before swearing vengeance on them once her plans was foiled.
However, Allura appears to have cared for her "brother", as she promised him that she'll get the Nova Charm from the Mane Five to him. In Tell Your Tale special "The Blockywockys", she does shown to have concern with her sidekick Twitch as she protects him from the magic came from the Nova Charm.

Background[]
Not much known about Allura's past, but it was shown that Allura wants to conquer all realms including the Starlight Ridge, along with her little sidekick Twitch. It is implied that she has worked for her "brother" to reclaim the Nova Charm from Starlight Ridge for him, but their relationship is clearly unknown.
Prior to the events of the special, Allura and Twitch invade the Starlight Ridge to steal a special relic called the Nova Charm. Because of the town law says that whoever holds the power of the charm rules Starlight Ridge, Allura managed to conquer the village with an iron fist. However, none of the Auroricorns could stand a chance against her because of how powerful and persuasive Allura is, but if they do, she could destroy the whole village without them even realizing it. Allura brainwashed the Auroricorns to use their magic to make the Aurora Flares and steal the stars out of them to use them to open a portal that will lead her to another realm, until she finds the right one, she's making them steal them all.
My Little Pony: Secrets of Starlight[]
The Mane Six return to the Starlight Ridge where they were horrified of seeing many Auroricorns, including Violet Frost and Comet, are being brainwashed by Allura into finding a star for her and making them smile to cover up their mistakes out of sadistic pleasure and enjoyment, but they managed to pull both Violet Frost and Comet away from Allura's brainwashing. When Comet return back to Starlight Ridge to keep the Auroricorns away from Allura's brainwashing, his brainwashing effects comes back to him and Allura approaches him and orders to join with the others. However, Allura fails to noticed the Mane Six and Violet Frost (who's freed from her brainwashing) are hiding behind these bushes. While Allura is keeping an eye on the Auroricorns, the Mane Six and Violet Frost snuck away from her and managed to get to the Banquet Hall to create a plan to stop her.
Noticed that Violet Frost has gone missing, she later noticed her from below and approached her, unaware that Violet's pretending to be under her trance because she used earplugs made from crystal snowball, which made her resist from Allura's trance. Allura was tricked into believing that Violet has found the "special star" (which was made from lightbulbs) and the "portal" (which was made from umbrella, sprinkles and more lightbulbs), tricked her into allowing Sunny, Pipp and Misty to take the Nova Charm from her. However, Allura realized that she was being tricked and the Mane Six and Violet Frost has got the Nova Charm so she went to chase the them and confront them for this.
She reveals that she doesn't need the Nova Charm to get what she wants. Instead of surrendering, she proceed to brainwash Sunny's friends and Comet to attack her and Violet Frost. Realized the snow can snaps the Auroricorns from Allura's brainwashing, Sunny and Violet Frost threw snowballs at their friends, freeing them from Allura's brainwashing. The Mane Six and Violet Frost convinced the Auroricorns to stand up against her, but Allura doesn't believe their plan would work. By throwing snowballs at each other and being encouraged by the Mane Six, the Auroricorns finally got their spirits back and began to sing the reprise version of "Starshine Time" song as they starts throwing snowballs at each other while also attacking Allura. Enraged, Allura attempt to control them again for the last time, but the Auroricorns starts throwing snowballs at her, freeing the Nova Charm from her grasp. She later swears vengeance against the ponies and left the Starlight Ridge.
After the Mane Six and Comet left to Equestria, Allura is walking at the woods until Twitch went for her and informed that the Mane Six has found the portal, much to her surprise as she went to discover the portal to Equestria is still open. The voice was heard inside Allura's head and he berated her for her failure and she had the star the whole time. Determined, Allura promised her "brother" she'll get the star back before she and Twitch went to the portal.

At the end of "Crystal Ball", she and Twitch are watching the Mane Six returned from the Crystal Ball at Starlight Ridge, before sinisterly welcoming them back home.
Allura was mentioned in "Snow Business Like Show Business" and Posey is performing as Allura while the Mane Six are filming the movie based on their past experience in the Secrets of Starlight special.
In the Season 2 premiere "Icy Prints", Allura and Twitch were implied of staying at the forest, froze it whenever she walks through and leaving her pawprints on an icy ground she froze which was later discovered by Zipp. When Sunny and Zipp went to investigate, they were shocked to discover that Allura's in Equestria. After Zipp took the picture, Allura and Twitch heard somepony's here and didn't see them as Sunny and Zipp are hiding behind the frozen bushes. Sunny accidentally steps on a frozen stick, which alerts Allura who is angrily roars loudly, causing both Sunny and Zipp to retreat back to Crystal Brighthouse to tell their friends about what happened. Despite their concerns and worries, Sunny assures everyone that they will be able protect their home.
In "Bunnisi Beauties", Allura and Twitch are observing Hitch, Pipp, Rocky and Jazz giving the bunnisi a makeover for the Easter Egg-stravaganza. Seeing a green bunnisi with a pink clam on its necklace and Twitch scratching himself, this gives Allura an idea of sending him to blend in with the bunnisi to get it for her, but Twitch refused to do so. She persuades him to do it or they'll be stuck in Equestria forever if they don't get the Nova Charm back on her hands. Seeing a herd of bunnisi are on their way, Allura puts Twitch on the road and got him trampled by them, which gotten him involved in a makeover given by the ponies. She waits for Twitch to get the pink clam earring for her, but he was too occupied of looking at himself with a mirror, much to her anger.
In the first special "The Blockywockys", Allura keeps trying to freeze the forest to cool it off, but it keeps melting because the weather's still hot, and she decide to move out. At the Maretime Bay beach, she use her powers to break the boulders that leads her and Twitch to the cave where she froze there inside. Later that night when Izzy returns from her quest, she and Twitch has spotted her alone and she has the Nova Charm on her neck, giving their opportunity to take it away from her. As they followed Izzy to an abandoned and wrecked amusement park, she watched as Twitch tried to steal the Nova Charm from Izzy before went out to protect him from the magic came from Nova Charm. She later became devastated of seeing the Nova Charm being separated into six gem shards by the Mane Six's cutie mark magic before dejectedly returns back to the cave along with Twitch.
In "Ooh, a New Friend!", Allura is still living in a frozen cave near the Maretime Bay beach along with her sidekick Twitch. However, Izzy Moonbow just happen to discover it while she's surfing and went back to Boardtrot to ask Sunny and her friends for a fruit basket as a welcoming gift for Allura. When she got inside the cave, Izzy attempt to offer Allura her friendship offer and giving her a fruit basket. However, Allura wants nothing to do with her out of resentment for destroying the Nova Charm before, so she wipes out her memory of their last encounter before kicking her out of the cave. But unfortunately for Allura, this has caused the repeated same loop as a result which ended up receiving many fruit baskets. When Izzy enters her cave for the last time, Allura has fed up with her antics and magically trapped her inside a snow globe, before both Pegasi royal sisters Pipp and Zipp arrived for a rescue. After Izzy, Pipp and Zipp escape from the cave, Allura sealed the cave entrance with a wall of ice to keep them out.

Trivia[]
- Allura is the first major villain from the fifth generation to not be a pony, as Sprout Cloverleaf, Queen Opaline, and Misty Brightdawn were all ponies.
- Allura takes over the role of the primary villain after Opaline's defeat.
- Allura resembles a Jaquin which were jaguar/macaw hybrid creatures from Disney's Elena of Avalor.
