~ Alma Reynard
Alma Reynard is a minor antagonist in HITMAN 2, appearing as the target of its prologue/first mission "Nightcall".
Born to Basque nationalists, Alma Reynard grew up with a hatred of the establishment. Leaving to the Midwest after her parents were arrested for bombing a mall, she met Sean Rose and joined the Pristine Army, an ecoterrorist group. The duo went freelance, targeting and bombing corporations.
At the time of her death, Reynard forced a man named Lance Donovan to murder his boss, a Providence operative named Rupert Pierce. She did so by kidnapping Donavan's family, and had just returned from the trip to her beachfront house.
Reynard was later killed that day by Agent 47, who had sneaked into her home.
Trivia[]
Reynard has a daughter, Mercedes, and a sister, Celia, the latter of whom she calls late into the mission, if she is not murdered during her sleep.
Like her former boyfriend, Sean Rose, Alma is an eco-terrorist, a terrorist that is motivated by extreme forms of environmentalism. This can be shown by how her safehouse is designed, as it used energy sources that don't rely on electricity.
Reynard is similar to 47, as both of them are amoral assassins who will stoop to extreme lows to achieve their goals. Their main difference is while 47 tries to avoid unnecessary casualties, Reynard thrives in them.
