Since my doppelganger is here, I'll just experiment on you!
~ Alternate Oshikiri confronting the original Oshikiri.
You brats! Don't feel so relieved just because you killed me! There is more than one alternate dimension! There are countless alternate dimensions! Don't forget there are countless other Oshikiri's...even more vicious Oshikiri's.
~ Alternate Oshikiri's last lines before he dissolves into slime.

Toru Oshikiri better known as Alternate Oshikiri is the main antagonist of the Oshikiri stories, in the Junji Ito manga universe. He is a serial killer who believes he is the real Oshikiri, he appears in a minor role in Intruder, serves as the main antagonist in The Strange Tales of Oshikiri, and as a minor antagonist in The Strange Tales of Oshikiri: The Wall.

Biography[]

Intruder[]

Oshikiri claims that he hears footsteps upstairs at his house, his cousin believes that there could be a intruder in the home, but he can not find any evidence of another person in the house. At school a student named Kamiyama, claims that he can senses the presence of people from another dimension. Oshikiri tells Kamiyama and his friends to come over to his house as he hears footsteps all the time in the house, Kamiyama along with his friends agree that there is something quite off about the house. The group waits but there are no sounds of footsteps, despite there not being the sound of footsteps Kamiyama says he can feel the presence of a alternate dimension somewhere in Oshikiri's house.

The sound of footsteps begins walking across the upstairs floor, going down the stairs eventually leading to the back yard. Where Oshikiri and the group see a alternate Oshikiri, who is in the process of burying a corpse of a person that he just killed. Oshikiri yells at the figure, this in response gets the twin to laugh before disappearing. When the group goes out to the backyard in order to see the corpses, they see it that it is a deceased alternate Kamiyama, deeper below in the ground they also find the bodies of an alternate Watanabe and Koizumi.

The Strange Tales of Oshikiri[]

A scared young lady runs through Oshikiri's house, afraid that he will find her, Oshikiri recognizes this girl as his classmate named, Mio Fuji. Toru ask her why she is at his house late in the night, he attempts to grab her but she ends up disappearing out of his sight. The next day at school Mio is there at school happy and content, Oshikiri comes to a agreement that the Mio he saw last night was one from a alternate universe. Mio and Oshikiri begin to hang out more, she has heard stories from her classmates that Oshikiri's house looks like a western castle. Oshikiri takes Mio to his house however he is afraid to show her the inside of his house where their parallel counterparts live at.

Mio sums this up as Oshikiri being a loner kid who doesn't want people getting to close to him, she pleads with him to let her in, after stating that he thinks what he saw was a hallucination, Mio ends up disappearing. After Mio has not ended up returning to school in three days, Oshikiri believes she got trapped in the parallel dimension, suddenly he hears her voice in the hallway where she has become a massive blob creature. She states that Oshikiri did this to her, she vows to get revenge on him, before she dissolves into slime. As a result of seeing what happened to the parallel Mio, Oshikiri concludes that the parallel dimension is in a state of carnage thanks to his alternate self.

Out of nowhere Oshikiri finds himself on a different floor of the house, he sees that his counterpart has tied up Mio in order to experiment on her so he can increase his height, he says that he did try his drugs before on her and Aoyama, which resulted in horrendous results. Both Mio and Oshikiri end up getting trapped in the alternate world, the alternate Oshikiri attempts to inject his original counterpart with a syringe, the alternate Oshikiri ends up getting injected with the new drug, causing his bone and muscles to tear apart and extending his limbs. Oshikiri unties Mio, telling her he is the original. Just before dying the alternate Oshikiri scoffs at the two stating that there are an infinite number of alternate dimensions to be accessed, all of which have more hostile versions of Oshikiri. He ends up dissolving into slime just like what happened with his failed "experiments".

The Strange Tale of Oshikiri: The Wall[]

TBA

Personality[]

In general he has a massive Napoleon Complex much like the original Toru Oshikiri, he is likely insecure about his height seeing it as a weakness for him as his main reasoning for experimenting on his and his original counterparts friends was just in order to get more height. While talking with original timeline Oshikiri he puts on a very calm demeanor but can become straight up hostile when attempting to inject him with a syringe. He is also calculating to as seen with him burying the bodies of his deceased friends that he murdered, in order to cover up his tracks of being found guilty for the crimes he committed.
