Amahiko Haitani is a human ally of the Deadmans and a supporting antagonist in Kamen Rider Revice. He is the contract holder for the Planarian Deadman.
He is portrayed by Shuji Kashiwabara.
Biography[]
Haitani at some point received the Planaria Proto Vistamp from Olteca, which he was able to duplicate to hand out to other Deadman candidates. To find candidates to receive one of the duplicated Vistamps, Haitani put on a mask and released a video rallying people to join the Deadmans' cause. He eventually found Seiko Omori, a woman who did not have enough money to afford the medical care her son needed, and gave her a Vistamp. Haitani encouraged her to release her Deadman and use it to steal money to pay for her son's treatment. He later gave Seiko the photo of a man whom he claimed was a doctor who could treat her son, when in fact he was just a radiologist, and coerced her into kidnapping him. When Seiko discovered the man was just a radiologist, she, in a moment of confusion and despair, used the Vistamp to enter a Phase 2 contract and merge with it.
She was defeated by the Riders and had her contract voided, but Amahiko simply made another Planarian Deadman and sent it to bring her away. Amahiko would later push Seiko to enter another contract and become the Phase 2 Planarian Deadman again, but she was defeated by Sakura Igarashi after she became Kamen Rider Jeanne and had her contract voided again, releasing her from the Deadman's hold. Daiji was able to arrange for Fenix to treat her son, meaning she would no longer have a reason to associate with the Deadmans.
Amahiko was later present when Aguilera complained that they had not yet found the six Giftex Deadmen needed to sacrifice to Giff to awaken him. It was then that Olteca introduced the Chameleon Deadman to her and revealed that they already had a plan in motion. While Olteca and Julio led the Giff Juniors in an attack on Fenix's Skybase, while it was parked, Amahiko snuck in and freed Yasushi Kudo, the previous Deadman contract holder for the Kangaroo Deadman.
Haitani was unnerved to hear that he could be killed if Giff deemed him not worthy of becoming a Gifftex. After Kudo went to settle his score with Ikki, Julio pushed Haitani to go after Sakura as well. Haitani confronted Sakura at her high school and created a Planarian Deadman to attack her, threatening her friends, but Sakura became Kamen Rider Jeanne to fight his Deadman. Julio then made Haitani merge with his Deadman to became a Phase 2, much to his reluctance. After he was defeated by Sakura, Julio appeared to pick up his body and bring him back to the Deadmans Base. The three Giftex candidates were all put through Giff, who confirmed them all as Giftex. Aguilera then stated that they only had to find one more to sacrifice to Giff, but Olteca revealed to her that they already had a sixth sacrifice - Aguilera herself.
With all the candidates gathered, Haitani became the Phase 2 Planarian Deadman and took part in the ritual to revive Giff. However, the ritual was crashed by the Kamen Riders and Fenix, leading Haitani and the other Gifftex Deadman to break off and fight them. Haitani and Kudo were defeated by a combined Rider Kick from all three Igarashi siblings, at which point they were absorbed into Giff as sacrifices.
