The American Liberation Front are the secondary antagonists of the 12th season South Park episode "The China Probrem".
They are an anti-China organization formed and made up by Eric Cartman and Butters Scotch in an effort to stop the Chinese invasion of the United States they thought was going to take place.
Biography[]
After having had nightmares about the Chinese because he saw the overwhelming opening ceremonies at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games on TV, Eric Cartman started to believe that the Chinese were going to invade the United States.
Cartman decided to go to Butters Scotch's house to recruit him in his quest to thwart the Chinese "invasion" and encouraged him to join by telling him that the Chinese will kill his parents. Butters then joined Cartman and they formed the American Liberation Front.
Together, Cartman and Butters went to a local P.F. Chang's restaurant dressed up as stereotypical Chinese people and speaking Chinese Pidgin English to attempt to find out the Chinese's "plans". They ended up holding everyone in the restaurant hostage with Butters holding a gun after they were asked to leave for bothering a Chinese family, and soon the police turned up. Cartman believed they have come to stop the Chinese but they had actually come to stop him and Butters and arrest them for terrorism.
Cartman left after Butters kept accidentally shooting people in the genitals. He decided he could not let America lose its dignity even if they could stop the Chinese after Butters constantly shot people in the genitals - albeit accidentally. Leaving the restaurant with Butters, the police and everyone else dropped the case after hearing of Steven Spielberg and George Lucas' arrest for assaulting Indiana Jones in the 2008 film Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Confused by everyone breaking into tears, Cartman and Butters left, with the latter commenting that the film was good.
