I don't have them! Do you understand? It's not me you want, it's not- it's Solomon!
~ Amir Kaffarov trying to reason with Dima after being beaten up by him.

Amir Kaffarov (Russian: Амир Кафаров) is a major antagonist of Battlefield 3. He is a Russian arms dealer who stole three nuclear devices from Russia and sold them to Solomon.

He was modelled after and voiced by Endre Hules.

Biography[]

According to the novel Battlefield 3: The Russian, Amir Kaffarov served an undistinguished career in the Soviet Air Force. At some point, after retiring, and after the Soviet Union had collapsed, he became an arms dealer, and would go on to become one of the wealthiest men in Russia.

Kaffarov later stole and sold three nuclear devices from the Russian government to rogue CIA informant Solomon. While Dimitri "Dima" Mayakovsky, Vladimir Kamarivsky and Kiril assaulted Kaffarov's villa which was protected by his bodyguards, Kaffarov got into a helicopter in an attempt to escape. However, Dima managed to sprint and jump onto the edge of the helicopter just as it started to take off. Dima overpowered him, and the pair fell out of the helicopter and landed into the pool through the glass roof. When interrogated by Dima, Kaffarov begged him for life and promised to tell him about any information about Solomon, only to be knocked out by Dima with a punch to the face.

It's unknown whether Kaffarov survived or died, as while Dima referred to him being still alive while speaking to Henry Blackburn, CIA agent Whistler referred to him as being deceased during his interrogation of Blackburn.

Trivia[]

  • Based on him trying to get away from Dima and his team on his own Ka-60 Kasatka helicopter, it can be presumed he was a helicopter pilot during his time in the Soviet Air Force.
  • According to the novelization and an early casting call for the game, he was an ethnic Tajik.
