Biography[]
Amos Fortune is the owner of Fortune Casino in Metropolis an establishment that he uses to swindle players out of their money and personal possessions.
In 2011, Lois Lane had her bachelorette party at the casino the same night Fortune had his men rob one of his vehicles so that he could collect the insurance. However, Clark Kent under the influence of Zatanna's magical champagne, ends up stealing the truck along with Fortune's lucky pet lemur. Believing Emil Hamilton to be responsible, Fortune has his minions dressed as police officers capture him without causing suspicion.
Having no recollection of the event, Emil is unable to divulge the location of Fortune's truck. Fortune orders his henchmen to kill Hamilton and heads back into the casino. Later that day, Fortune is confronted by Lois and Oliver Queen over Lois' engagement ring she lost to him the night before, but he refused to return it. In turn, he had them both captured and tied up in the back room, while he stayed to take in a show.
Oliver and Lois managed to escape their bonds and disguised themselves as showgirls. As Oliver passes in drag, Fortune became infatuated with him and commented on how beautiful he was. Later, Chloe Sullivan arrived at the casino where Fortune recognized her and yelled that she was part of the group that stole his money.
