Amy Lau is one of the villainous main protagonists (along with Danny Cho) of the 2023 black comedy Netflix series Beef. She is an early 40s year old entrepreneur who sells plants. She has a husband named George and 1 daughter. After a road rage with Danny, the 2 are in a vengeful war. She is portrayed by American comedian and actress Ali Wong
Biography[]
Amy was born sometime in the early 1980s. Her parent would usually be arguing in the other room and did not get along. They would leave her by herself a whole lot. Even by the age of 5, Amy would steal. One day as a teen, Amy cut school and she went home after stealing clothes from a store, where she saw her dad coming home with another women cheating on her mom.
In her mid 20s, she was involved in hooking up with older men for sexual favors.
She eventually got married to a man named George Nakai and had a daughter with him name June
Come present day, she is driving on her way home, when she almost gets rammed by Danny as her backs out of parking lot. She then honks like crazy and gives him the finger and Danny chases her. The 2 then are driving reckless even destroyed a elderly mans yard. Danny eventually finds where she lives; he pretend hes trying to fix her bathroom as he is in his handyman uniform, and pisses on her bathroom. She then retaliates by writing negative reviews for his business on his business yahoo, destroying his business. While Danny is at a club with his brother Paul, she vandalizes his pickup trucks writing on there that hes a bitch. She then cheats on George (who she caught liking her employee Karla's pic) and catfishes Paul pretending to be Karla, before Paul goes to her Job and she comes clean, then they have an affair. Once her friend Naomi and the man who's yard She and Danny wrecked during car chase wanted to find them and press charges, she meets up with Danny and promised to bribe him with $10,000 of he took the fall, which they eventually didnt have to do. Once George finds out about whats going on, he takes June and leaves, leaving Amy devastated. George meets up with Danny, holds him until the cops come, Danny knocks him out and takes his car, where he put June (unknown to Danny) danny goes to his house, isaac, his cousin whom he is at odd with, then takes june as randsom. After all this is done, Amy ended up being friends with Danny
