Ancient Dragon Lansseax is a minor antagonist and optional boss in the 2022 video game, Elden Ring. She is an ancient dragon and the sister of Lichdragon Fortissax. Like her brother, Lansseax has a connection with the Golden Order along with the Ancient Dragon Cult of Leyndell.
Biography[]
Lansseax is said to have assumed the form of a human priestess so that she could commune with the knights of the Ancient Dragon Cult. At some point, she would come to meet and love a Tarnished knight called Vyke, who is a member of the Roundtable Hold and whom Lansseax shared ancient dragon incantations with him. Vyke would come to master many of these and was also given his own incantation which is named after him. He was later scourged by the Flame of Frenzy.
Elden Ring[]
Lannseax can be found as a dragon near the Abandoned Coffin Site of Grace. After her health dropped to 20%, she'll retreat by teleporting out of the area. She can be found again on a hill south-west of the Rampartside Path Site of Grace in the east of Altus Plateau. If engaged in a second battle, Lansseax can be permanently defeated. During this and the previous battle, she has the unique ability to summon a glaive made of red lightning and can perform diagonal and horizontal attacks. Killing her makes her drop her Glaive spell.
