Andrew is a character in The Walking Dead, and he serves as the secondary antagonist of the episode "Sick" and later the primary antagonist of the episode "Killer Within", and overall the tertiary antagonist of the first half of Season 3. He was portrayed by Markice Moore.

Biography

Before the apocalypse, Andrew was a convicted criminal in West Georgia Correctional Facility. When the outbreak began, he along with Thomas Richards, Axel, Oscar, and Big Tiny were locked in the cafeteria by a guard with one gun. 10 months later they were found by Rick's group.

He sided with Tomas when he stood up to Rick about who get control of the prison. When Big Tiny gets bitten he pleaded with the group to save him to no prevail. After Thomas and Rick fought Rick killed Thomas causing Andrew tried to attack Rick but he failed. Rick chased him out to the court yard (which was filled with The Walkers) and locked him outside. Andrew tried to escape but couldn't re-enter the prison and was presumed dead.

In the next episode a shadowy figure is shown placing a dead deer at the entrance of the prison which draws hundreds of Walkers to the prison. The figure is later shown activating the prison alarms which draws in more Walkers that actually get into the prison and attack the group. This causes the death of T-Dog and Lori Grimes. Rick, Oscar, and Daryl go into the control room to turn it off. While Daryl holds the door shut Rick and Oscar go to turn off the machine. Andrew is revealed to be the figure and attacks Rick with an axe. He and Rick disarm each other and Oscar gets his gun. Andrew tries to get him to kill Rick, which would give them the opportunity to retake the prison. Oscar however instead kills Andrew and proves himself to the group.
