Andrew Earlham is the main antagonist of the 2017 TV Series Liar.
He is a cardiac surgeon as well as a vile serial rapist who raped over 19 Woman in the past including the main protagonist Laura Nielson.
He was portrayed by Ioan Gruffudd, who also played Adam Lockwood in Bad Boys: Ride or Die.
Biography[]
Background[]
Andrew Earlham was a medical student in the past and came into contact with Oliver Graham. Many years later he would get married to a woman named Mary and had a son named Luke. At some point he would discover from a gay colleague that he had been raped by Oliver Graham, Andrew initially confronted him, but Oliver denied it so he placed cameras in his house to get footage of him raping another man. Andrew instead of calling the police went to Oliver's house and told him he knew what he did. Oliver figured out that Andrew didn't report him because he liked the idea of the power rape gave, Andrew denied it, but Oliver saw through it and gave him a vile of the drugs he used to knock his victims unconscious, in exchange for deleting the video he took. Andrew did consider deleting it, but decided against it.
This would begin Andrew's long spree of raping Woman where he raped at least 19. When his wife found out she was devastated and Andrew goaded her into committing suicide which did end up working. He would also film his rapes and play them back for his sick amusement.
Season 1[]
Andrew goes out on a date with a teacher named Laura Nielson and as he usually does, he would drug her and then rape her while she was unable to fight back. The next day Laura accused Andrew of the rape, which he denied doing. The police investigation would turn up pretty much no evidence to be used against him. During the third episode, his son's girlfriend would end up getting pregnant and then getting an abortion. Laura told Andrew that if her father found out she would be sent back to her home country so for the sake of his son Andrew lied about the reason that his son's girlfriend was admitted to the hospital.
Andrew would grow interested in DI Vanessa Harmon and would end up raping her as well. The police still found no evidence against him but just in case to cover his tracks he asked his son to lie about the fact that he was with him during the time he committed the rapes. However, everything ended up falling apart for him when Laura found the tapes he made of his rapes. By then Andrew had also uncovered something he could use to blackmail a detective, but it was already too late and he was forced to go on the run.
Season 2[]
Andrew would later find himself inside a boat hiding out from the police. He saw very little way out of this so he contacted his old friend Oliver, Oliver initially didn't want anything to do with him, but Andrew promised he would leave him alone if he helped. Oliver got some of Andrew's stuff from the hospital, when he gave them to Andrew though he told Andrew that his son was in the hospital after attempting suicide. Andrew risked his freedom to go to the hospital to see his son, he ends up blaming Laura for the suicide. Andrew tries to leave on the boat, but Carl Peterson was waiting for him and he ends up driving out to sea and throwing him off the boat to kill him. Andrew is able to survive though.
After making a quick threat to Laura he contacts Oliver again. Oliver is surprised to hear him again thinking that he should be far away from there Oliver refuses to help out again, but Andrew reveals to him that he never deleted the video of him raping another man. Andrew's plan is to fake his own death and frame Laura for it seeing it as the only way out, he also plans to have Oliver blackmail DS Rory Maxwell so that his framing of Laura will go perfectly. However, Laura figures out the plan and ironically, he ends up actually being killed by Laura.

Andrew is a monstrous and depraved serial rapist. He has no problem with raping other 19 Women and filming his rape so he can view them over and over again. Despite his vile nature. Though he does have some care for his son constantly concerned about his wellbeing and doing things for the interest of him.
