Andrew Hoffman is the overarching antagonist of the NCIS episode "Recoil". Hoffman is a serial killer of military wives, who he seduces at bars and murders out of his own misogyny.
He's portrayed by Michael Hagerty.
Biography[]
Andrew Hoffman was a Staff Sergeant for the Marine Corps, who's presumed to have had an unfaithful wife, resulting in his hatred of women. Hoffman began trolling for wives of soldiers stationed overseas at bars, drugged their drinks with Rohypnol, and stabbed them to death at his house. He then cut off one of each of their fingers and kept them preserved in ice in a compartment in the trunk of his car. After killing four women, Agent Ziva David was sent undercover as bait for Hoffman.
The agents caught Hoffman red-handed with the fourth woman dead in his house. However, when Hoffman took David's phone and saw who she called, he held her at gunpoint and forced her to drive to a warehouse. Confessing to his murders, believing he did right by the grieving husbands, he prepared to shoot David there, but in a fight, she got his gun and shot him dead.
Trivia[]
- Hoffman is inspired by serial killer Carroll Cole.
