Andrew Milton is the secondary antagonist of the 2018 videogame Red Dead Redemption II. He is an agent in the Pinkerton National Detective Agency, and partner of Edgar Ross. He is also Dutch van der Linde's arch-nemesis.
He was voiced by John Hickok in motion capture.
Personality
Agent Milton is a ruthless man who is determined in catching and killing the Van der Linde gang and ending the era of the wild west. While appearing somewhat gentlemanly and courteous, he was willing to mercilessly kill Hosea Matthews after the latter surrendered to him and his men peacefully. He was also willing to have his men open fire on the gang in a derelict house with women and a child inside. It is also indicated that other Pinkerton Agents dislike him as one stated he'd like to "find a poisonous snake for him". He also has a subtle sadistic side, as he laughed while almost killing a sick Arthur Morgan.
Despite his ruthlessness, Milton is willing to negotiate with the enemy, as he promised Arthur that he wouldn't be hanged if he turned Dutch over. He also promised to let the gang live if Dutch surrendered and the rest of them left and lived normal lives. Aside from this, Milton does have the redeeming quality of wanting to bring about a peaceful society and end the murder and chaos of his time.
Biography
In 1899, Milton and his partner Edgar Ross were hired by Leviticus Cornwall to hunt down and kill Dutch van der Linde. Both agents eventually find Arthur Morgan fishing with little Jack Marston at a lake near Horseshoe Overlook.
Later, Milton and Ross find Dutch and his gang at their camp in Clemens Cove and give him and ultimatum to surrender or they will kill everyone.
During a robbery in Saint Denis, Milton shows up with a bunch of agents, and kill Hosea Matthews and Lenny Summers, as well as capturing John Marston. The unfortunate turn of events forces Dutch and his gang to stowaway on a boat before eventually returning to the United States.
Eventually, he captures Abigail Roberts and hold her at Van Horn Trading Post until a boat arrives to pick her up. However, Arthur and Sadie Adler come to her rescue before the latter was too captured, forcing Arthur to come to her aid.
After being confronted by a mortally sick Arthur, Milton tells him that Micah Bell has been working for him shortly after coming back from Guarma before the two men engage in a battle. Just when Milton had the upper hand on Arthur (mainly due to Arthur losing strength to his sickness), he was suddenly shot in the side of his head by Abigail, killing him instantly.
