Android 8 is and android of the Red Ribbon Army and the eight creation of Dr. Gero. He appears as a minor antagonist in Dragon Ball: The Path to Power and Dragon Ball Z: Attack of the Saiyans, both while he is controlled by General White.
He was voiced in Japanese by Shōzō Iizuka except in Dragon Ball Legends where he is voiced by Katsuhisa Hōki. In English he was voiced by Mike McFarland in the Funimation dub, by Dale Wilson in the Ocean Group dubs and by Jeremiah Yurk in the Blue Water dub.
Biography[]
The Path to Power[]
General White activates Android 8 in the Muscle Tower and orders him to attack Goku, to which he does. Android 8 is winning the fight until he recovers his emotional feelings and decides to not hurt Goku anymore. General White, enraged, decides to activate the bomb that has in his body, but Goku stops him before he can do this, saving Android 8's life. Later, Android 8 helps Goku in the fight against Assistant Black and is destroyed by the officer. This makes Goku so sad and enraged that he unleashed all his power and finishes Black once and for all. Android 8 is later revived by Shenlong now without the bomb of his body.
Attack of the Saiyans[]
General White, who sutvived the attack of Android 8, captures him agan and brainwashes him again. However, Goku returns and fights against him. After being defeated, Android 8 returns to his normal personality.
Trivia[]
- Although Android 8 also appears in the original Dragon Ball manga and later in the anime adaptation, he doesn't play an antagonistic role in any of them.
