Androxus, also known by his title of Godslayer, is a playable antagonist and unwilling part of the Abyss in Paladins. He's a former judge of the Outer Tribunal who after a confrontation with an Abyssal entity pretending to be a goddess, left him with a curse that forces him to hunger for souls, leaving him no choice but to abandon his duties and quickly rise to the top of the most wanted list.
He's a Flank champion that was introduced on March 11th, 2016.
He is voiced by Chris Ryan.

"Androxus was once a noble lawman of the Outer Tribunal circuit judges. He and his former partner, Lex, were relentless in their pursuit of criminals and threats to the natural order.
After a tragic confrontation with a deceitful being claiming to be a goddess, he became afflicted with an otherworldly disease, dooming him with an endless hunger for souls. Now he wanders the Realm, adrift, in a never-ending quest to quell that hunger, stripped of his rank and duties with the Tribunal, and condemned to live with the curse for eternity."
Biography[]
Once a dedicated judge of the Outer Tribunal, Androxus battled all sorts of threats, from infamous criminals to other horrors and supernatural threats, all alongside his former partner, Lex.
However, things changed following a tragic confrontation with a sinister Abyssal entity that pretended to be a goddess; Androxus being afflicted with an otherworldly disease that gave Androxus an endless hunger for souls. Androxus was forced to abandon his duties, quickly rising up to the top of the most wanted list.
He now attempts to find a way to redeem himself with the Magistrate, all while battling his own curse, as well as his former partner, who's vowed to bring him in dead or alive.
Personality[]
While difficult to fully discern Androxus' original personality prior to his curse, being one of the most dedicated and noble of the Outer Tribunal judges, Androxus' curse seems to have greatly changed his personality, distorting him into an incredibly dark and sadistic individual, causing him to abandon his former duties and quickly rise to the top of the most wanted list; with his sadism at such at extreme level he barely hesitated to use his ultimate ability on his former partner who had been knocked to the ground and almost killed, as well as Maeve, who happened to be in the way.
Despite this, what seems to be bits of Androxus' original personality do occasionally resurface, with some of Androxus' voicelines being more lighthearted in nature, his line "There can be no life without order!", and his supposed desire to redeem himself with the Magistrate.
Androxus has also been described as being incredibly stubborn, similarly to his partner Lex.
Powers and Abilities[]
Androxus appears to be a skilled fighter, having likely been trained in the Outer Tribunal and having many experiences battling criminals and other horrors, on top of defeating an Abyssal entity while only human. His abilities were likely enhanced further by his Abyssal curse, which though gives him an endless hunger for souls, appears to grant him additional abilities, such as the capability to dash through the air, reflect most forms of damage, enhance his gun to fire more powerful projectiles, powering up his physical attacks, and possibly far more. It's no wonder he rose to the top of the Realm's most wanted list.
Gameplay[]
Passive Abilities[]
- Holding the Space Bar while in the air activates "Drifting", which reduces Androxus' fall speed.
Revolver[]
- A cursed six-shot semi-automatic revolver that deals 520 damage every 0.36 seconds.
- Has an ammo count of 6.
Defiance[]
- Punch forward, striking enemies in front of you for 520 damage.
- 0.5 second base cooldown.
Reversal[]
- Absorb ranged attacks and fire a blast back that deals a base damage equal to 75% of the damage absorbed.
- Reversal stays active for 1.4 seconds.
- 14 second base cooldown.
Nether Step[]
- Quickly dash in any direction up to 3 times before needing to recharge.
- If the second and third dash are not used within 4 seconds, the ability goes on cooldown early.
- 10 second base cooldown.
Ultimate: Accursed Arm[]
- Transform your weapon into an explosive revolver that deals 1,000 damage in an area.
- Revolver gains 4 shots that individually deal 1,000 damage.
- Revolver can be fired every 0.5 seconds.
- Allows Androxus to float in midair for the duration of the ability.
- Ability cancels automatically after 4 seconds if not all shots or fired or the player doesn't cancel the ability.
- Cancelling the ability early saves 15% ultimate charge for every shot not fired.
Talents[]
As with every other champion in Paladins, Androxus has a number of different talents and cards which can be used to somewhat alter the way his abilities function. Cards can be upgraded with a limited pool of fifteen points per load-out in order to increase their effectiveness. Numbers in curly brackets are the default values and can be upgraded a total of five times, each upgrade adding another instance of the base value to overall effectiveness.
Cursed Revolver[]
- Your Revolver becomes automatic, dealing 600 damage every 0.5 seconds.
- Default talent.
Godslayer[]
- Reversal always fires back and does an additional 800 damage.
- Unlocked at Mastery Level 2.
Defiant Fist[]
- Successful hits with your Revolver increase the damage of your next Defiance by 15%, stacking up to 100%.
- Unlocked at Mastery Level 8.
Cards[]
- Abyss Walker - Heal for {40|40} after activating Nether Step.
- Abyssal Touch - Reduce the Cooldown of Nether Step by {1.2|1.2}s after hitting an enemy champion with Defiance.
- Buying Time - Generate {2|2} Ammo after activating Reversal.
- Disrupt - Reduce the Cooldown of Reversal by {1.2|1.2}s.
- Elusive - Increase your Movement Speed by {10|10}% for 3s after activating Nether Step.
- Equivalent Exchange - Heal for {10|10}% of the damage Absorbed by Reversal.
- Featherweight - Heal for {50|50} every 1s while drifting.
- Marksman - Generate {1|1} Ammo after hitting an enemy champion with Defiance.
- Power of the Abyss - Reduce the Cooldown of Nether Step by {20|20}% after hitting an enemy with Reversal.
- Quick Draw - Hitting a player with Revolver Heals you for {15|15}.
- Seething Hatred - Reduce the Cooldown of Reversal by {0.5|0.5}s after hitting an enemy with your weapon.
- Sleight of Hand - Generate {1|1} Ammo after activating Nether Step.
- Spiteful - Generate {6|6}% Ultimate charge after getting a Killing Blow with Defiance.
- Through the Warp - Increase the distance of each Nether Step dash by {5|5}%.
- Vengeance - Heal for {225|225} after getting a Killing Blow with Defiance.
- Watchful - Reduce all active Cooldowns by {10|10}% after getting an Elimination.
